BURLINGTON, MA – On July 23, the Burlington Marriott will host an inspiring evening of purpose and impact as supporters gather for the Reception & Gala with Vidya Bharati Leadership, a special event dedicated to expanding educational access for millions of underserved children across India.
Organized by Indus Education Empowerment Foundation, a registered U.S. nonprofit (501(c)(3) tax-exempt), Aashraya, Edufront and The Jha Group, the gala will spotlight the extraordinary work of Vidya Bharati, the world’s largest non-governmental education initiative, which reaches over 3.3 million students across 88% of India’s districts.
With over 14,000 schools and nearly 10,000 informal education centers, Vidya Bharati provides not only academics but also value-based education, serving as a launchpad for future doctors, engineers, public servants, and social leaders.
“Education is the most powerful tool we can offer a child. When you educate one student, you uplift an entire family—and eventually an entire community,” said Mona Chopra, organizer of the event. “This gala is more than a fundraiser—it’s a celebration of hope, opportunity, and the belief that every child deserves a future full of possibilities.”
