Dr. Saldanha Named to Board of Trustees of Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary

BOSTON— Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary (MEEI) has appointed Dr. Janine Rodrigues-Saldanha M.D. to its Board of Trustees.

Dr. Saldanha practiced anesthesiology at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary Boston for 35 years, and is now Anesthesiologist Emeritus.

She and her husband Victor Saldanha M.D. have lived in Lynnfield, MA, for over 35 years.  She is on the Lynnfield Library Board of Trustees (BOT) and is active in her Church and other volunteer work in town. She is a current Trustee of the Boston Medical Library, and has chaired the WGBH community advisory board in the past.

Dr. Saldanha has long been involved with the Indian-American community. She has been President and Trustee of the Indian Medical Association of New England (IMANE), and President and current BOT member of the Indian-American Forum for Political Education (IAFPE).  She has also been on the Governing Body of AAPI and IAFPE.

MEEI is the premier teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School for Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology. It is widely respected and routinely appears in the top three positions nationwide in US News and World Report annually. It recently joined Partner’s Network of hospitals, but retains its independent management.
