NEW DELHI– A disturbing double murder in West Delhi’s Tilak Nagar has left a community in shock after two close friends, identified as Sandeep and Arif, fatally stabbed each other during a violent altercation in a neighborhood park.
According to preliminary investigations, the incident occurred on Sunday night following a heated argument between the two men. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
The confrontation took place within the jurisdiction of the Tilak Nagar Police Station. Upon receiving the emergency call, police teams from both Tilak Nagar and Khyala Police Stations arrived quickly and launched a detailed investigation.
Initial findings indicate that Sandeep and Arif, both residents of B-Block in the Khyala area, engaged in a dispute over an unknown issue that escalated into a deadly knife fight. Authorities are currently exploring all possible motives, including personal and financial disagreements.
Police confirmed that both men were married, had children, and lived on the same street with their families. Known to be longtime friends, they were often seen together in the area.
Sandeep was reportedly involved in the property business and had previously worked as a gym trainer.
The bodies were sent to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital for post-mortem examinations as part of the ongoing investigation.
Authorities are now questioning family members, neighbors, and other potential witnesses in an effort to determine what led to the deadly escalation.
