You will be pleased to know that this Health Expo has become the largest South Asian Health Expo in North America. Here is guide for planning your day at the expo.
TIME: Please note that we will have two tracks going in parallel in two adjacent rooms and an exhibition in the Grand Ballroom. Please follow the schedule and be on time. We hope that it will be a fantastic experience for you and your family.
9:00 AM (Room Inspiration)
KICK OFF: The Therapeutic Yoga Immersion:
We will have a four-hour (from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm) therapeutic yoga immersion workshop. It will be led by four instructors: Amita Chopra, Bindy Johnson, Meaghan James, Pankaj Patel, and Jay Gupta. The session will move from Therapeutic Yoga to more Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahar, Dharana and Dhyan practices. In the end, we’ll have a few minutes for questions and feedback.
Space is limited and available on first-come-first-serve basis. So please come by 9:00 am and secure your spot for this opportunity for healing, energizing, relaxing and meditating. Please bring a yoga mat or a towel / blanket to take full advantage of this unique journey.

Diabetes has reached epidemic proportions among Indians. Food and weight gain have tremendous impact on this disease. Registered dietician Sangeeta Pradhan will talk about best Indian diet to control and manage diabetes. Sneh Jaisingh is a certified clinical nutritionist and a freelance health and lifestyle coach. She will talk about and food, health and lifestyle.

Prevention and Treatment of Heart Disease
Dr. Steve K. Singh, MD, Surgical Director of Heart Transplantation and Mechanical Circulatory Support at Brigham and Women’s Hospital will talk about prevention and treatment of heart disease. Dr. Singh specializes in cardiac and thoracic surgery. The panel will be moderated by heart specialist Dr. Meena Sundaram, MD.

Introduction to Tai Chi Paradigm
Reknowned martial artist and instructor Calvin Chin will introduce his ‘modern approach to an antiquated way’, Tai Chi Paradigm, a program designed to prevent age related degeneration and focuses on the goal of maintaining a quality of life through proper integrative movement conditioning. He will cover relevant and important topics in health at any age, including mindfulness of movement, how to adapt exercise routines for any age, and how to unify the body through integrative movement.

Meditation: From Esoteric Practice to Mainstream Phenomenon
Meditation has become a vital part of finding wellness in 2017. For something that seemed like a mere fad in the beginning of the 21st century, meditation has become a billion-dollar industry in the United States. Long-time practitioners Angela Babuschak, Ram Chelakara, Jeff Schneider, Dr. Kavi Wagholikar, Ajay Jaisingh and Dhanashree Ramachandran will discuss the many facets of meditation, including the physical benefits of meditation, the role of meditation in the medical faculty and what research shows us about the effects of regular practice.
