Tara Sutaria Channels 1950s Glamour in Vintage-Inspired Photos
Mumbai — Tara Sutaria embraced classic 1950s glamour in a new series of vintage-inspired photographs shared on Instagram.
“Stuck in the 50’s (and never getting out),” Sutaria wrote alongside the black-and-white images.
The actress wore a black gown with a statement necklace and matching earrings, completing the look with a sleek high bun and understated makeup. The photos showed her posing on and beside a couch in a style inspired by the era.
On the work front, Sutaria will next appear in “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups,” directed by Geetu Mohandas. The film also stars Yash, Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi and Rukmini Vasanth.
Sutaria recently shared photos with Yash from the film’s romantic song “Madhosh,” highlighting moments from their on-screen pairing.
“Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups” is scheduled for theatrical release on Aug. 26.
Kartik Aaryan Invited to President Murmu’s Independence Day Reception
Mumbai — Kartik Aaryan has been invited by President Droupadi Murmu to attend the Independence Day “At Home Reception” at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Aug. 15.
The “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” actor is expected to join national leaders, armed forces personnel, athletes, artists and other prominent invitees at the formal reception hosted by the President.
The invitation comes shortly after Aaryan was named Best Actor at the 72nd National Film Awards for his performance in Kabir Khan’s sports drama “Chandu Champion.”
Aaryan celebrated the honor with his family and later shared a video on Instagram capturing the moment his name was announced.
“Still processing… Some moments are simply bigger than words, and this is one of them. A dream I’ve carried for years has finally come true,” he wrote, adding that he was “forever humbled” and “forever grateful.”

Mumbai — Madhuri Dixit’s husband, Dr. Shriram Nene, has joined the viral “Kinda Chic” social media trend with a collection of family travel memories.
Nene shared several photo collages on Instagram featuring moments from trips over the years, pairing them with reflections on enjoying unplanned experiences, exploring cities on foot, discovering local traditions and making family time part of the journey.
“Different trips. Same conclusion: the best bits were never on the itinerary. Kinda chic,” he wrote in the caption.
The post follows glimpses shared earlier this year from Nene and Dixit’s trip to Japan. The couple posed near snow-covered Mount Fuji and also appeared in traditional Japanese attire.
At the time, they described the trip as a mix of “tradition, temples, snow, and samurai.”
Anil Kapoor Marks Rhea Kapoor and Karan Boolani’s Fifth Anniversary
Mumbai — Anil Kapoor celebrated daughter Rhea Kapoor and son-in-law Karan Boolani’s fifth wedding anniversary with a heartfelt social media message Friday.
Sharing a photo of the couple on Instagram Stories, Kapoor praised their relationship and said they bring out the best in each other.
“Five years, and so much life built together,” he wrote. “You bring out the best in each other, complement each other so naturally, and make a pretty wonderful team.”
Rhea also marked the anniversary with previously unseen travel photos, writing, “Happy 5 my love,” and noting that the couple has spent 17 summers together.
Rhea and Boolani met on the set of the 2010 film “Aisha,” where he worked as an assistant director. After dating for several years, they married in August 2021 in an intimate ceremony at Anil Kapoor’s Mumbai home.
Anil Kapoor will next appear in Siddharth Anand’s “King,” which also stars Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff and Arshad Warsi.
Anupam Kher Pushes Back Against Ageism: ‘Experience Never Retires’
Mumbai — Anupam Kher has spoken out against dismissing older people as “irrelevant” or “redundant,” arguing that age does not diminish a person’s value or abilities.
In a video shared on Instagram, the 71-year-old actor questioned why society often treats aging as a reason to overlook people’s contributions.
“Does a person’s software get old as he grows older? Does God send notifications after 70?” Kher asked.
He said youth brings energy, speed and new ideas, while age offers experience and perspective that can only be gained over time.
Kher cited figures including N.R. Narayana Murthy, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Nandan Nilekani, Anand Mahindra, Meryl Streep and James Cameron as examples of people continuing to create and contribute beyond 70.
“The elderly are not the burden of any society. They are its memory bank. A moving history. A living library,” he said.
Kher concluded his message by saying, “Age is not an expiry date. And experience never retires.”
Rani Mukerji Honored at Melbourne Film Festival as She Marks 30 Years in Cinema
Mumbai — Rani Mukerji has received a special citation for acting excellence at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne as she marks three decades in the film industry.
Reflecting on her career, Mukerji said she has been fortunate to portray women who “laughed loudly, loved deeply, fought fearlessly and never stopped believing in themselves.”
The actress said she never imagined when she began her career that her films and characters would reach audiences around the world.
“To know that for three decades my films, my characters and my voice have travelled so far from home and still found a place in your lives is incredibly humbling,” she said.
Mukerji’s career includes acclaimed performances in films such as “Black,” “Hum Tum,” “Yuva,” “No One Killed Jessica,” “Hichki,” the “Mardaani” franchise and “Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway.”
She added that each character she has played has helped shape her both as an actor and as a person.
