Taapsee to play Amrita Pritam in her next film

Mumbai– Actress Taapsee Pannu, who recently announced her new film with “Mulk” director Anubhav Sinha, has now shared more details about her character in the project. She will be seen playing the role of acclaimed novelist late Amrita Pritam in the film.

Taapsee on Tuesday took to Instagram and wrote: “‘When a man denies the power of women, he is denying his own subconscious’ — Amrita Pritam. Moving from one Amrita to the other… Main tenu pher milangi…in theatres from 6th of March 2020.”

Along with the post, she uploaded an image in which she is seen reading a script donning a pink ethnic suit.

Pritam (1919-2005) was an acclaimed Punjabi poet-writer. She was born in Gujranwala (now in Pakistan) and is well-known for her poem “Ajj Aakhaan Waris Shah Nu” — a writing expressing the horrors and anguish of Partition.

Vicky Kaushal’s fan wants to turn into a pizza for him

Mumbai– Fans can go to great lengths for their favourite stars, and Bollywood’s latest sensation Vicky Kaushal has started getting a taste of that. A fan of the National Award-winning actor wants to turn into a pizza for him.

The actor recently shared a black and white picture of his on Instagram and captioned it: “Pizzas, I miss you.” In the photo, Vicky can be seen wearing a sad expression on his face.

Commenting on the post, a fan wrote: “I wish I was a pizza.”

Other fans also commented on the actor’s post, one of which reads: “Get this man all the pizzas he wants!”

Another fan used a line from the actor’s latest song “Pachtaoge” and commented, “Pizzas to you – Mujhe chor k jo tum jaoge, bada pachtaoge.”

On the work front, Vicky will next be seen in the horror film “Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship” and the biographical drama “Sardar Udham Singh”.

Akshay, Kareena’s ‘Good News’ is now ‘Good Newwz’

Mumbai– Actors Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s upcoming film which was earlier titled “Good News”, has got a slight change in its name.

The film is now called “Good Newwz”.

While wishing Akshay on his 52nd birthday on Monday, filmmaker Karan Johar, who is co-producing the film, brought the title change to fans’ notice with his tweet.

“Happy birthday Akshay, we love you!!!! The GOOD NEWS is that our film #GOODNEWWZ will end the year with a bang!!!! Can’t wait for all of you to see it,” he wrote.

The film also stars actors Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani in pivotal roles. It is a laugh riot, family drama in which Akshay and Kareena are playing a married couple and trying for a baby.

“Good Newwz” will release on December 27.

Shah Rukh, AbRam’s adorable pic wins hearts of netizens

Mumbai– Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his youngest son AbRam’s photo is loaded with “cuteness” and fans have sent in “love you 3000” messages to the two.

SRK’s wife Gauri recently took to social media to wish her mom a happy birthday and posted a photo of her mother along with SRK and AbRam posing in front of a car.

A lot of fans left birthday wishes and also found the photo to be “adorable”, “cute” and more.

Shah Rukh also wished her saying: “May you always be as funny and full of life as you are.”

Ayushmann’s ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ to release in March

Mumbai– “Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan”, the second instalment of the hit film “Shubh Mangal Saavdhan”, will release on March 13, 2020.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Tuesday announced the release date of the project on Twitter.

He wrote: ” ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ begins… Release date finalised: 13 March 2020..”

The film, which is being directed by Hitesh Kewalya, stars actor Ayushmann Khurrana. Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao will also be seen in the movie. The two had earlier shared screen space with Ayushmann in the 2018 hit movie “Badhaai Ho”.

“Shubh Mangal Saavdhan” addressed the subject of erectile dysfunction with humour, while the second part of the franchise will delve into the issue of homosexuality.

The project will clash with Janhvi Kapoor’s “The Kargil Girl” at the box-office.

Vicky posts throwback pic with SRK, says dreams do come true

Mumbai– It seems like working with superstar Shah Rukh Khan is on the to-do list of Vicky Kaushal, who is Bollywoods latest star.

The 31-year-old actor has shared a throwback photo of his childhood days on his Instagram story, where he can be seen posing with Shah Rukh. The picture seems to be clicked on the set of SRK’s 2001 historical drama “Asoka”.

Well, this just makes one half of the collage. The other half comprises a photo of the two actors performing together at a recent award ceremony. Vicky captioned the image, “Dreams do come true”.

Vicky’s post has left fans wondering whether the actor is hinting at signing a movie with SRK or not.

On the work front, Vicky will next be seen in the horror film “Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship” and the biographical drama “Sardar Udham Singh”. The actor will soon start shooting for filmmaker Karan Johar’s “Takht”, a period drama set in the Mughal era.

Vijay Varma revisits family albums for role in ‘Hurdang’

Mumbai– “Gully Boy” actor Vijay Varma will be playing a nineties college student from Allahabad in the upcoming film “Hurdang”. And to get the proper look for his character, Vijay is delving into his old family albums.

In the film , he will be seen donning high waisted trousers, bold striped shirts, with buckled straps.

“I referred to a lot of family albums from my family and also the team members. Everybody was in sync they were all wanting to show how things were in late 80s and 90s and the director and bunch of people from the team brought their pictures and we were all looking at pictures how it looked and how things were in 80s and 90s.

“We took references mostly from real places, real people so that it doesn’t look fabricated creation of another film. So that was mainly the inspiration we looked at it – college campus pictures, student pictures, family pictures of real people of our albums.”

‘Taish’ has taken a pound of flesh from my soul: Harshvardhan

Mumbai– Actor Harshvardhan Rane, who has recently wrapped up shooting for his upcoming film “Taish”, says he has given his best to the film.

“Taish” is directed by Bejoy Nambiar.

On his preparations for the film, Harshvardhan said: “It was the most intense experience, to say the least. From locking myself up for a week in a bungalow for preparation to do workshop before that to executing all the scenes, the way Bejoy had visualized. It has been the most couple of intense months of my life.

“I have tried to give in everything that I have and I’m hoping that it translates on the big screen. And as an artiste that’s all I look for and expect. I’m grateful to Bejoy sir for giving me this character which is extremely close to my heart and a part of me will be gone with this film. I think this film has taken a pound of flesh from my soul.”

The film also stars Jim Sarbh and Amit Sadh.(IANS)
