Sonakshi Sinha rewrites Honey Singh’s ‘Love dose’

Mumbai– Actress Sonakshi Sinha has rewritten the lyrics of Honey Singhs hit “Love dose”, and will sing it during the Da-Bangg tour.

Sonakshi has rewritten from a girl’s perspective and will be seen performing it as part of every city’s act.

The tour, which also features stars like Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Jacqueline Fernandez and Daisy Shah, will begin in Atlanta on Friday.

“I’m really excited about the tour more so because I will not just be dancing, I will also be singing something special,” Sonakshi said in a statement.

“My music team and I have created a brand new rendition of ‘Love dose’, one of my favourite songs of Honey Singh, changing the lyrics from the point of view of a girl. I worked on it amidst my dance rehearsals and between my shoot for ‘Kalank’ in this first schedule.

“The song has come together really well and I am hoping we have the audiences swoon and enjoy it as much as we did recreating it. I’m sure Honey (Singh) will love it too,” she added.

According to a source, the actress is going to perform the new rendition as part of the tour across US and Canada.

Salman Khan thanks audience for watching ‘Race 3’

Mumbai– Superstar Salman Khan has thanked those who have watched his latest film “Race 3” in theatres and supported it.

On Friday, Salman tweeted: “I thank everyone who has gone to see ‘Race 3’ in the theatres and each and everyone individually for watching it and glad that you have liked and appreciated every one’s effort that was put in the movie. God bless and keep watching. It means a lot.”

“Race 3” has crossed Rs 130 crore at the box office in India since releasing on June 15. It was not widely lauded by critics, but Salman’s fan following and the love for the “Race” franchise have contributed to the numbers generated at the box office.

Directed by Remo D’Souza, the film got an opening day collection of Rs 29.17 crore. It also features Jacqueline Fernandez, Anil Kapoor, Daisy Shah, Saqib Saleem, Bobby Deol and Freddy Daruwala.

Mohit Malik’s cricket ambition

Mumbai– Actor Mohit Malik says if he had not been an actor, he would have definitely explored a career in cricket.

Mohit, who is currently seen as Sikander Singh Gill in the Star Plus show “Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala”, loves the sport.

“I always wanted to become an actor. But I was also strongly inclined towards cricket. I even attended the U-19 Delhi camp but couldn’t pursue it because of my studies back then,” Mohit said in a statement to IANS.

“If not an actor, I would have definitely explored a career in cricket.”

Now he doesn’t get much time to play because of his show.

“But I try to sneak in sometime before or after shoot with my crew members for a quick match,” he added.

Saif, Kareena enjoy quality time in London

New Delhi– Bollywood couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan enjoyed thier vacation in London, and say they love going to the city.

“London has always been one of our favourite cities in the world and every time we visit this city, we discover something new,” they said in a joint statement to IANS.

They added: “This time, we chose to stay in Windsor because we wanted to immerse ourselves in the history and charm of the city and experience living like locals. With Airbnb, Windsor felt just like home where we spent quality time with each other away from our daily lives and routines while doing some of the things we love the most. This truly was a one of kind refreshing vacation.”

On the work front, Kareena was seen in “Veere Di Wedding” — a project which garnered mixed response to the narrative of how women openly talk about their sex lives and hurl abuses.

Saif will be seen in web series “Sacred Games”.

Mumbai police use ‘Dhadak’ dialogue to promote road safety

Mumbai– Mumbai police is taking the Bollywood route — a dialogue from the forthcoming film “Dhadak” — to convey a road safety message to travellers.

A post from the official Twitter handle of the Mumbai police on Friday, featured a still from the trailer of the film, with the dialogue “Kya naatak kar raha hai, mujhe dekh kyun nahi raha” superimposed on it.

It was captioned: “Don’t underestimate the emotional quotient of traffic signals! And their e-challan is anyways not too happy with your relationship. Traffic signal matters.”

The tweet impressed a number of followers on the micro-blogging website.

While one user wrote: “Mumbai police’s creativity at its best”, another wrote: “Brilliant. Whoever handling your SM handle… hats off”.

“Dhadak”, an adaptation of Marathi film “Sairat”, is slated to release on July 20. It will mark the Bollywood debut of Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor’s step brother Ishaan Khatter.

Shraddha Arya’s bond with co-stars

Actress Shraddha Arya says she always share a great rapport with all her co-stars.

The “Kundali Bhagya” actress opened up about her rapport with her co-stars when she appeared “JuzzBaat” with Mishal Raheja, read a statement to IANS.

“I have always shared a great rapport with all my co-stars; be it Ssudeep Sahir, Iqbal Khan or my current co-actor Dheeraj Dhoopar. Sometimes, we do get into an argument due to our creative differences but that doesn’t affect the work environment at all,” she said.

“We have always been lucky to have either funny or light-hearted scenes on days when we have had arguments and it has usually helped get things back to normal. We are like a house on fire when we are on the sets together. We can talk and laugh endlessly and are really good friends. I am blessed to have a loving co-star like Dheeraj.” (IANS)
