Bollywood Roundup: Shilpa Shetty, Hrithik Roshan, Ajay Devgn, and more…

Shilpa Shetty reveals her ultimate secret to staying calm before work

Mumbai, India — Bollywood star and fitness icon Shilpa Shetty has shared the simple ritual she swears by to stay calm before stepping into work mode.

Taking to social media, the actress revealed that controlled breathing helps her find her focus before a busy day. “My secret to keeping my calm, just before the kaam #PranayamaForTheWin,” she wrote.

In the video shared online, Shilpa is seen sitting outdoors in a shimmering gold halter-neck outfit while practicing pranayama, a yogic breathing technique known for its calming effects.

The Baazigar actress has long been a vocal advocate for yoga, regularly encouraging fans to embrace clean eating, fitness, and a balanced lifestyle.

She has previously shared that she maintains a disciplined diet throughout the week but allows herself to indulge on Sundays — a ritual she often showcases in her popular “Sunday binge” posts on social media.

Shilpa made her Bollywood debut in the 1993 hit Baazigar alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, and later starred in films such as Tu Khiladi Main Anari and Dhadkan.

Beyond films, she has also become a familiar face on television as a judge on shows like Super Dancer and India’s Got Talent. Off screen, Shilpa is married to businessman Raj Kundra, and the couple has two children.

Hrithik Roshan once called actors doing their own stunts “stupid and silly”

Mumbai, India — Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan once sparked debate with his blunt take on actors who insist on performing their own stunts, calling the idea “stupid” and driven by ego.

In an old interview with Lehren TV, the actor said dangerous action scenes should be left to trained professionals rather than actors trying to prove a point.

“I don’t believe in doing your stunts yourself. I think it is stupid. It should be banned,” Hrithik said.

Explaining his stance, the actor added that filmmaking is a collaborative process where specialists handle different parts of the craft.

“The reason I say that is that it should not be about an ego trip. You’re an actor, you’re creating a magical world, a fantasy world. And there are a lot of things that go into creating that fantasy. Even your makeup, your dialogues, your hair, your clothes, it’s all made to make the unreal look real.”

He continued, “People are specialised in doing certain specific jobs to help you create that entire world bit by bit in different pieces. A stuntman’s job is to do stunts. He comes into that space, does his job, and creates one more piece of that big picture, and then you carry on. If you have an ego there, it’s like saying I will write my own dialogues. It’s silly.”

Ironically, Hrithik has starred in several action-packed films, including the Krrish superhero franchise that grew out of the hit Koi… Mil Gaya.

During the filming of Krrish, the actor reportedly attempted a stunt involving a harness jump between buildings. According to filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, his father, the harness snapped mid-sequence and Hrithik fell to the ground — narrowly escaping serious injury.

Hrithik made his Bollywood debut with the blockbuster Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai and has since delivered major hits including Jodhaa Akbar, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Super 30.

The film starred Ileana D’Cruz, Saurabh Shukla and Saanand Verma alongside Ajay, with music by Amit Trivedi and cinematography by Alphonse Roy. The movie went on to become a box office success.

The franchise has now expanded with Raid 2, with Ajay returning as Amay Patnaik and Riteish Deshmukh stepping in as the main antagonist.
