Singapore– Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor struck a pose with his wax statue at the Madame Tussauds museum here.

Shahid on Thursday tweeted a photograph of himself along with his wax statue and captioned it: “Twinning.”

The 38-year-old actor, who was accompanied with his wife Mira Rajput, also did a live video from the launch.

Talking about being a part of the wax museum, Shahid was heard saying: “It’s a bit surreal and wonderful to be here and when you walk in to this area and see so many people in real life and then you see their statues, which is a life like, it feels a bit weird… My wife found it weird when she had a little bit of a sneak peak of my statue and I think she is getting over it.”

Discussing about their children Misha and Zain’s reaction to his statue, Mira said: “Misha would be quite confused… But it would be quite a site to see how she feels with the two of them here. But I think she know who her dad is.”

On the Bollywood front, Shahid currently awaits the release of his next film “Kabir Singh”, a remake of the popular Telugu hit film “Arjun Reddy” that originally starred Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey. It also stars Kiara Advani.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Krishan Kumar and Ashwin Varde, it is set to release on June 21. The remake is written and directed by Sandeep Vanga.

While Radhika is paired opposite Sunny, Mohit will be seen with Diana in the film produced by Dinesh Vijan, who has delivered three hits “Hindi Medium”, “Stree” and “Luka Chuppi”.

Directed by Kunal Deshmukh, the film will go on floors in September and will be shot across Punjab, Paris and London.

According to a source, the story has been written by Sridhar Raghavan and Dheeraj Rattan.

Dinesh said in a statement: “I got married recently, so I’m feeling it, but on a serious note in our day and age where love is taken so lightly, it’s difficult to imagine the lengths people would go to for it.

“‘Shiddat’ is a not only a story about love but the distance one travels for it. The passion that overcomes… Maybe all senses or logic to do things that you wouldn’t usually imagine, the belief in something with all your heart and the drive to achieve it- that’s ‘Shiddat’.”

“House Arrest” is helmed by Shashanka Ghosh, and also directed by Samit Basu. It was recently shot in Delhi

The film circles around Ali’s character and is a situational comedy of sorts.

On the project, Ali said in a statement: “‘House Arrest’ is a fantastic script. It’s witty, very fresh and for me, selfishly, the character is very arched and layered.

“So it was a fun time on sets to play this part. Even though it is a comedy, it is complex and I got to go on set everyday and do something new and fresh even though it was all one place.”

Working with Shriya added more fun to the project for Ali.

“Working the second time with her was a natural comfort that just came without trying. Also, Shashanka Ghosh is a genius along with Samit Basu who is the brains behind this venture. They both have such clarity on what they want and how they want it. While they are the leaders of the free world, they also allowed us actors to have a free hand to work with our creative liberties too.” (IANS)
