The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial, an epic romance drama, is a co-production between Salman Khan Films and Bhansali Productions Private Limited (BPPL).

Announcing the film’s release date, Prerna Singh, CEO of BPPL, said in a statement: “We at Bhansali Productions are happy to confirm that the film hits theatres on the Eid of 2020.”

Salman and Bhansali have worked together in films like “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam”, “Khamoshi: The Musical” and “Saawariya”.

Meanwhile, Salman’s latest film “Bharat” minted over Rs 42 crore on the first day of its release on Eid on Wednesday. The actor on Thursday took to social media to thank his fans for giving “me my career’s biggest opening ever”.

Dressed in a golden sari by designer Tarun Tahiliani, Priyanka flaunted her bare back while doing a photo shoot for American magazine InStyle’s July 2019 issue.

The “Quantico” actress on Thursday took to social media and uploaded several photographs, showcasing her ‘desi’ look in different types of saris.

But it’s her bare back photograph which is most talked about. Even her husband Nick Jonas could not resist commenting on Priyanka’s photograph. Nick posted fire emojis on the image.

After her photo shoot in saris, Priyanka spoke about her love for the six yard attire.

“Fashion is such an important part of global culture, often arising from centuries of tradition, and doesn’t go out of style when the seasons change. The ‘sari’ is one of the most iconic and recognised silhouettes from India,” she captioned the image.

“To me, its beauty lies in its versatility, not just in drape and fabric. It embodies elegance, femininity, and power, and I love how I feel when I’m wearing one,” she wrote.

Apart from the golden sari, Priyanka is seen wearing designer Sabyasachi Mukherji’s creations — a sari with a belt to accentuate her hourglass figure.

In 1968, he was honoured with the Padma Shri by the government. He died of a heart attack on May 25, 2005 at his residence in Mumbai.

Sanjay’s fans got a glimpse of the bond he shared with his father through Rajkumar Hirani’s film “Sanju” that saw actor Paresh Rawal as Sunil Dutt and Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay.

Nothing more fulfilling than being mother: Tulsi Kumar

Mumbai– Singer Tulsi Kumar says there is nothing more fulfilling than being a mother, but it comes with some challenges.

Tulsi Kumar

The “Tu laung main elaichi” hitmaker became a mother to a boy in December 2017.

She understands the struggle of new mothers and losing the post-pregnancy weight. In an industry where looks are generally as important as talent, it was imperative for her to get back in shape.

“There is nothing more fulfilling than being a mother. But it does come with challenges – one of them being the extra weight that one carries well past the baby’s arrival,” Tulsi said in a statement.

“Yes, that has been my struggle too and something that most mothers will relate to. Today, nearly a year and a half later I want to share that I have managed to climb this mountain with some success. My motherhood inspired me to do this. And to all the mothers, you can do this as well,” she added.

Sonal Vengurlekar joins ‘Yeh Teri Galiyan’

Mumbai– Actress Sonal Vengurlekar is set to play a role with a “variety of shades” in the show “Yeh Teri Galiyan”.

“I am entering ‘Yeh Teri Galiyan’. I am not in a position to divulge much details, however my character is quite intriguing as I get to play a variety of shades in the show which is also one of the prime reasons for taking up this show,” Sonal said in a statement.

“I am looking forward to start shooting for it,” she added.

She will come in as Nandini in “Yeh Teri…”. According to a source, her character will enter the house as an old lost friend of Shantanu Mazumdar (played by actor Avinash Mishra) and will stay in his house.

The “Saam Daam Dand Bhed” actress was last seen on the small screen in the episodic show “Laal Ishq” earlier this year.

Pankhuri glad to experiment with different genre

Mumbai– Actress Pankhuri Awasthy has been part of historical and romantic projects, and is now looking forward to join the cast of the long-running family drama “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai”.

Pankhuri has played powerful roles in shows like “Suryaputra Karn” and “Razia Sultan”, but it’s the first time that she will be seen in a family drama.

“‘Yeh Rishta…’ is like a brand on television. The show has such a loyal audience. At a time when shows are getting pulled off in the blink of an eye, it’s quite a feat to have a show that’s been around for 10 years,” Pankhuri said in a statement.

“I am glad to be trying my hand at a different genre…in a show which already has an established audience. It ups the responsibility, but I take that in my stride,” she added.

On her role, she shared: “She is a soft, demure yet a mature individual who will win over the love of everyone around her. I feel she’s a very relatable person and that’s what convinced me to take up the role.

“Currently, not many roles on television are relatable. While it’s an actor’s job to play it convincingly, I am glad that this time around I am playing a character which I can relate to as well.”

Shahid could never do long distance relationships

Mumbai– Actor Shahid Kapoor says he could never do long distance relationships.

Shahid, actress Kiara Advani and other team members of “Kabir Singh” hosted a press meet with fans and the media here on Thursday for the launch of the song “Mere sohneya” from their film.

During the fun interaction with fans, he was asked to give advice on long distance relationships.

“I could never do long distance relationships. I mean, what’s the point? I have always felt like… if I am in love with someone, I would want to share as much time as I can with her…but there are people who have done it,” Shahid, now married to Mira, replied.

“I have friends who managed to get through it, they have gotten married and they are really happy, so there are difficult phases one needs to get through in long distance relationships, and I was really bad with it,” he added.

“Kabir Singh” is a remake of the Telugu blockbuster “Arjun Reddy”, which starred Vijay Devarakonda and Shalini Pandey.

Kiara, who plays the leading lady in the film, said: “The most beautiful thing about the love story is that it is a campus love story and it starts in college. All of us have been in relationships, in love and had our first crush when we were in school or college.

Malaika Arora teases ‘grumpy’ Arjun on social media

Mumbai– Actor Arjun Kapoor and entrepreneur Malaika Arora might have refrained from talking openly about their much speculated relationship, but their social media PDA is adorable.

This time, Malaika wants to know why Arjun is “so grumpy”. She brought this up when Arjun posted an image from his childhood riding a toy horse.

He captioned the photograph that he shared on Instagram: “Began my horse riding prep way early in life. Always knew I was going to be doing ‘Panipat’. ‘Panipat’ prep… horsing around… grumps for life…Throwback Thursday.”

Poking Arjun, Malaika responded: “Why so grumpy?”

This is not the first time the two indulged in some social media PDA. Some time back when Arjun shared a fan-made image of himself, Malaika replied to it with a fire emoji.

When Arjun posted a photograph of himself saying, “Crouching tiger, hidden Arjun”, Malaika commented “Nice pic”.

Arjun and Malaika initially kept their relationship under wraps, but they are now more open as the two have often been photographed together at parties and airport. (IANS)
