“I am excited to play a lawyer on screen for the first time. Everyone I am working with on this project, I have been a fan of,” Richa said in a statement.

The actress started shooting for “Section 375” on Monday here. The first leg of the schedule will be shot here.

Talking about her co-star Akshaye, she said: “I love Akshaye Khanna as an actor and his last few outings have been amazing. I am happy to collaborate with director Ajay Behl too. I loved how nuanced ‘B.A. Pass’ was… This is a great start to 2019 and I feel blessed to take on this firebrand character”.

The film “Section 375” highlights how a critical law meant for the safety of women can be misused.

Richa reached out to fans via Instagram, urging them to wish her luck for the new film’s beginning.

She thanked the film’s team for the warm welcome and for “being so cool and supportive”.

The project is backed by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat and Abhishek Pathak.

The glamorous sisters sat down for a tete-a-tete with each other for Kareena’s radio show, Ishq 104.8 FM’s ‘What Women Want with Kareena Kapoor Khan’.

During the chat, Karisma spoke about staying relevant, how she manages to be radiant, her role model and the pressure of making a comeback in the industry, said a statement.

When asked who her role model was, Karisma told Kareena: “Today, you are my role model. We are in the same profession, and the kind of strength we offer to each other is amazing. Apart from you, our mom has been an inspiration who single-handedly raised us so well.”

The daughters of veteran actors Randhir Kapoor and Babita, Karisma and Kareena are six years apart.

When questioned about the recipe of staying relevant, Karisma said: “There is no recipe… It’s all about moving with the times. I have spent 27 years in the industry. The formula for me is to keep up with the times and attempting different things which further helps to stay relevant.”

She credited her radiance to the genes.

“And, I guess it’s the inner positivity which reflects on my face,” said Karisma, a mother of two.

The actress, who has featured in films ‘Raja Hindustani’, ‘Raja Babu’, ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’, ‘Biwi No. 1’, ‘Zubeidaa’ and ‘Fiza’, has been missing from the big screen for a while. She finds it unfair that there’s a “comeback pressure” actresses face, especially after motherhood.

“I don’t come from any filmy background. I am from London. I was modelling in England, and then I moved to Bombay about 12 years ago. In 2006, I did a Kingfisher swimsuit calendar show and after that, I did a Telugu movie directed by Prabhudheva.

“During that time, ‘Bigg Boss’ happened and I also hosted a TV special for the Indian Premier League. I did some amazing cameos in a film like ‘Freaky Ali’ with Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui and in another film which starred Arshad Warsi,” she said.

Karishma is content with how her journey has shaped up.

“I like the place that I am in, where I am getting to do what I love. I get to dabble in acting, modelling and hosting. I don’t want to get typecast in one specific genre of the entertainment industry. Now I am getting to dabble in various platforms, so I feel that I am blessed.”
