Parineeti Chopra Releases Devotional Track Recorded During Pregnancy

Mumbai — Parineeti Chopra has released a new devotional song, “Namami Shamisham,” and revealed that she recorded it while pregnant with her son, Neer.

The actress and singer shared the track on YouTube on Monday and said the song reminds her of a deeply personal phase in her life.

“There are some prayers that become memories forever, and Namami Shamishan is one of them. I recorded this during my pregnancy, a phase that brought me closer to faith, reflection and gratitude. Every time I listen to it, I’m reminded of that beautiful chapter of my life,” Chopra wrote on social media.

She added, “I’m so happy to finally share it with all of you. OUT NOW on YouTube and all music platforms. Har Har Mahadev…Love, Parineeti Chopra.”

The song has been sung by Chopra, with music by Fresh Lime Studios. It is directed by Tanishq Seth, with background vocals by Jai Yadav. Jai Yadav, Metalpump, Tanishq Seth and Sparsh Gupta produced and arranged the track.

Chopra has previously sung several songs, including “Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahin” from “Meri Pyaari Bindu,” “Teri Mitti” from “Kesari” and “Pehle Lalkare Naal” from “Amar Singh Chamkila.”

Chopra married politician Raghav Chadha on Sept. 24, 2023. The couple welcomed their first child, son Neer, on Oct. 19, 2025.

Zeenat Aman Says Manish Malhotra Made Sarees Comfortable for ‘Bun Tikki’

Mumbai — Veteran actress Zeenat Aman has shared how designer Manish Malhotra helped make sarees comfortable for her while shooting her upcoming film “Bun Tikki.”

Zeenat Aman

Aman posted several pictures from the film’s set on Instagram on Monday, saying Malhotra designed her sarees as ready-to-wear outfits because she is naturally more comfortable in western clothing.

“Shooting ‘Bun Tikki’ was such a sweet, endearing experience. Working on it showed me how much I have grown to appreciate gentle stories that unravel human intricacies without the ‘pow boom bang’ aggression of masala formula flicks,” she wrote.

“My wardrobe for the film was exquisite, and I felt reinvented in the saris @manishmalhotra05 designed for me. Now it’s evident that I’m more of a western wear kinda gal, so Manish eased me back into traditional clothes by making each of these saris ‘ready to wear’. Sheer genius,” Aman added.

She said the styling made long shoot days much easier.

“That made 12 hour shoot days and long hours of styling oh so comfortable. There is no doubt great beauty and legacy to draping a sari, but for those of us who don’t have the patience or skill, this is the ultimate hack. Ladies, have you tried wearing a sari in this style? Your thoughts?” she wrote.

Aman had earlier reflected on returning to films after the birth of her son Azaan, saying her mother’s support helped her resume work during a difficult period in her married life.

Mahesh Bhatt Recalls Raj Khosla’s Advice on Starting From Zero

Mumbai — Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has recalled advice he received from legendary filmmaker Raj Khosla that stayed with him over the years.

Mahesh Bhatt

Bhatt said Khosla, known for films such as “Mera Gaon Mera Desh,” once told him, “Zero is a great figure to begin with.”

The advice, Bhatt said, taught him that starting from nothing should not be seen as a disadvantage, but as the foundation for a meaningful journey.

Speaking with author, screenwriter and director Suhrita Das at the event “In Search of Truth,” Bhatt also reflected on his rebellious childhood and how his outlook has changed over time.

“I wanted to stand out when I was young. Today, I want to connect,” Bhatt said.

He also recalled placing fireflies in his mother’s hair as a child to make her smile during a difficult moment.

Bhatt said creativity often comes from emotional vulnerability and heartbreak, adding that an artist’s greatest strength is not technical skill but the courage to engage honestly with life.

“We spend our lives waiting. Waiting for success, waiting for certainty, waiting for the next achievement. But life is not somewhere ahead. Life is here, in this breath, in this conversation, in this moment,” he said.
