Bobby Deol Says He Went ‘Shameless’ for Anurag Kashyap’s Bandar
MUMBAI, India — Bobby Deol says he had to ditch his shyness and go all in for Bandar.

The actor, who stars in the upcoming Anurag Kashyap film, said the role pushed him far outside his comfort zone after years of being boxed into a certain image.
“Every actor wants to do something, because an image is set and it gets very difficult to get out of it and we get typecast. I also went through it, but now I must say doing this film was totally out of my comfort zone. I kept my shyness aside and did this film shamelessly,” Deol said.
Bandar is written by Sudip Sharma and Abhishek Banerjee, with Kashyap directing. The film also stars Sanya Malhotra, Raj B Shetty, Jitendra Joshi, Sapna Pabbi, Indrajith Sukumaran, Riddhi Sen, Saba Azad and Nagesh Bhosle.
Produced by Nikhil Dwivedi and backed by Zee Studios, the drama is expected to explore a wrongful imprisonment case while digging into power, corruption and systemic failure.
Bandar is set to hit theaters on June 5, 2026.
Aamir Khan Says Son Junaid Built His Career Without Dad’s Help
MUMBAI, India — Aamir Khan says his son Junaid Khan is doing Bollywood his own way — and Dad is staying out of it.

The superstar said he does not read Junaid’s scripts and does not interfere in his career, adding that his eldest son trained, auditioned and landed roles on his own.
“No, I don’t read Junaid’s scripts. He doesn’t even want me to interfere in his career. He went to Los Angeles to learn theater. He studied there for two years and did plays for a year. Then he came back and started a theater in Bombay. He used to go to auditions for casting directors. At that time, no one knew that he was my son. He didn’t tell anyone, and I didn’t tell anyone either,” Aamir said.
Aamir said he found out about Junaid’s debut project, Maharaj, only after Aditya Chopra called to tell him he was casting him.
“He made his own career,” Aamir said. “Actually, to be honest, as a father, he didn’t let me do anything.”
The actor also opened up about his close bond with his children, saying he still hugs Ira, Junaid and Azad at home.
Junaid recently appeared opposite Sai Pallavi in Ek Din, produced by Aamir Khan Productions. The film is now playing in theaters.
Adah Sharma Says Success Is More Than Box Office Noise
MUMBAI, India — Adah Sharma says box-office numbers are nice, but they are not the whole story.

The actress said she measures success by whether audiences remember her scenes, performances and dialogue long after a film is over.
“Box office is like that loud friend that shouts ‘375 crore for The Kerala story highest grossing female lead film ‘ so everyone turns and looks, and of course, I’m grateful when that happens,” Sharma said.
She added that critical praise also matters, but lasting audience impact means more.
“Critical acclaim is the quiet, intellectual friend who doesn’t speak much, but when he does, you feel like you passed some secret exam,” she said. “Numbers and opinions come and go; what remains for me is how the audience reacts to scenes, remembers performances, and dialogues.”
Sharma said fans still bring up how 1920 scared them, Sunflower made them laugh and The Kerala Story made them cry.
The actress is next awaiting the release of Governor: The Silent Saviour, starring Manoj Bajpayee. The film is set to release June 12. (Source: IANS)
