Manoj Bajpayee remembers friend Anupam Shyam

Mumbai– Actor Manoj Bajpayee has been left heartbroken with the demise of veteran actor Anupam Shyam, his old friend from theatre days.

Talking about the late actor, Manoj Bajpayee said: “All of our friends are heartbroken by Anupam Shyam’s demise. I knew him from our theatre days. He was a jovial person who dedicated his life to acting and spirituality. He was a person who never took life too seriously. He was full of positivity and optimism and cared a lot for his friends.”

In a choked voice, the actor said: “It is very difficult to speak about his life in a very few words. Since the time he fell ill, I have been in touch with his brother. The sudden news of his demise came as a blow to all of us, his friends and of course his family. I pray for his eternal peace.”

Veteran actor Anupam Shyam passed away late on Sunday at the age of 63. The actor died due to multiple organ failure.

Mourning his loss, Manoj Bajpayee had tweeted on Monday: “Rest in peace my friend !!! You loved it fully both as an actor and as a person!!! Bahut yaad aaoge Dilli aur mumbai me bitaye din bhi yaad aayenge !!! (You will be remembered and I will miss our days spent in Delhi and Mumbai.) May you rest in peace.”

Sara Ali Khan unveils her ‘Veerangana’ look from ‘Mission Frontline’

New Delhi– Sara Ali Khan unveiled the poster ‘Mission Frontline’ on Wednesday.

The actress took to her Instagram and shared the poster of her upcoming show on discovery+. Sara will be seen in action with the Veerangana Force in Assam for the show.

The audience will get to see her in a never-seen-before avatar performing extreme physical training routines alongside the Veerangana Force, India’s first female commando unit to tackle rising crime against women in the state.

Veerangana Force was launched in November 2012, after a year’s training in Tamil Nadu. They are a group of women commando force of the Assam Police. They have been trained in ‘silent drill’ known only to US marines, martial arts, bike riding, horse riding, use of weapons to take on eve-teasers, or anyone trying to harm women’s modesty.

They wear black uniforms and violet caps.

Gurnazar Chattha: Couldn’t have asked for a better debut

Mumbai– Punjabi singer Gurnazar Chattha is making his Bollywood debut with a song ‘Marjawan’ from the upcoming Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Bell Bottom’.

The singer, who has also written and composed the soulful track, says that he couldn’t have asked for a better debut!

Gurnazar is joined by Asees Kaur on the vocals while Actors Akshay Kumar and Vaani Kapoor feature in the video.

Talking about the song, the singer said, “I couldn’t have asked for a better debut than this. ‘Marjawan’ is a song that I think is made for me. I can’t put in words how much this means to me. This is for my fans and the people who have believed in me.”

“Being a playback singer for Akshay Kumar sir’s song is truly magical. I am cherishing this moment. Thank you to the people who have been pouring out their love to this song,” he added.

Espionage thriller ‘Bell Bottom’ featuring Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor and Lara Dutta is slated to release on August 19.

I’m stepping out of my comfort zone: Aahana Kumra

Mumbai– Actor Aahana Kumra, who is quite excited about her upcoming film for which she has travelled to London, said that the new film is taking her out of her comfort zone.

The actress said, “I am super duper excited about the movie and one of the reasons for the same is because it is a crime thriller. Since we flew to London recently, we are currently quarantining, and taking this time out to indulge in the necessary preparations. The protocols are also being worked out for the shoot, ensuring maximum safety. We are also chalking out the shoot schedule. I will also make sure to stay safe myself.

“The movie will see me in an unseen avatar for which I will be stepping out of my comfort zone. In the end, that’s what an actor looks for — to be able to push the boundaries every day. I am glad this project is giving me a chance to do so. Apart from work, I am also looking forward to exploring the city and have a good time while shooting.”

Arshi Khan: Glad people discuss me on ‘Bigg Boss OTT’

Mumbai– Actress Arshi Khan, who appeared in TV reality show ‘Bigg Boss 14’, is amused that the current contestants are discussing her.

Recently a video went viral in which Ridhima Pandit mimics Arshi and on some other occasion Urvi is said to be obsessed with Arshi.

Reacting to this Arshi tells IANS: “I’m glad that people have enjoyed watching me so much that they still discuss about me. I was very much real and all me during my stay in the show. I didn’t do anything for the game or camera.”

The actress, known for her entertainment quotient, wants to enter the house again.

“If I’m approached I will obviously leave all my work and participate in the show. For me BB is equal to my parents as all the name and fame I’m enjoying today is given by the show. I do wish to enter the house.”

Arshi Khan, who has acted in television shows like ‘Savitri Devi College & Hospital’, ‘Vish’ and ‘Ishq Mein Marjawan’, will soon start shooting for her upcoming television reality show titled ‘Ayenge Tere Sajna’. (IANS)
