Varun Sharma won’t let me date anyone: Kriti Sanon
Mumbai– Actress Kriti Sanon says her “Arjun Patiala” co-star Varun Sharma is very protective of her, and will never let her date anyone.
“Varun Sharma is so protective of me, he’ll never let me date anyone ever,” Kriti said.
Asked about keeping a low profile on her dating life, Kirti said: “Even if I am dating someone tomorrow, I doubt I am going to announce it to the world, because I feel that (information) is for me and my close ones. I don’t want a stranger to judge my relationship is.”
Kriti, Varun and their “Arjun Patiala” co-star Diljit Dosanjh were speaking on the show “By Invite Only”.
Diljit gave a witty response when asked about what his description would be on a dating app. “On a dating app, my bio will read, ‘Expensive Jatt’,” he quipped.
Quizzed about his reaction on waking up as star Kareena Kapoor Khan, he said: “I’ll look into the mirror and pout”.
Newbie Pranati excited about ‘Love Aaj Kal 2’
Mumbai– Budding actress Pranati Rai Prakash is excited working in Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming “Love Aaj Kal 2”, which stars Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aryan
“Imtiaz sir has been my favourite director since childhood, ever since I watched �Jab We Met’, and am an admirer of his art-like work — the way he captures emotions and presents love in myriad moods. Being directed by him is a dream come true. I wish for many more (opportunities to work with Ali),” Pranati said.
She ventured into acting with the web-series “Poison” and made her Bollywood debut recently with “Family Of Thakurganj”.
The film is a sequel to “Love Aaj Kal”, the 2009 romantic-comedy film starring Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Rishi Kapoor.
Have amazing role in ‘Street Dancer 3D’: Nora Fatehi
Mumbai– Actress Nora Fatehi will be seen in “Street Dancer 3D” along with Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor, and she says that she has amazing role in the dance-based film.
“I have just wrapped up shooting ‘Street Dancer 3D’. We shot for six months for the film. I am really looking forward to its release because I have an amazing role,” said Nora.
She also gave a glimpse of her other upcoming projects.
“I also feature in a single with Vicky Kaushal, which is a performance-oriented song, and I have some international projects as well,” she declared, while interacting with the media at an event to promote her dance number ‘O saki saki’ in “Batla House”.
Asked how she came on board for “Batla House”, she said: “I was brought on board to essay the character of Huma, and while we were shooting the film, they (makers of the film) were looking for a dance number for my character to perform. Finally, they decided on ‘O saki saki’. We shot the song long after we finished shooting for the film. I came on board after giving two look tests and auditions. Obviously, everyone had to see the look tests and approve of them.”
Did Salman give Iulia a diamond ring on her birthday?
Mumbai– Superstar Salman Khan’s rumoured girlfriend Iulia Vantur turned a year older on Wednesday, and the grapevine is rife with the rumour that the “Bharat” star has gifted Iulia a diamond ring.
The reports also state that it was Salman’s mother Salma Khan who suggested him to give Iulia a piece of jewellery on her birthday.
Salman and Iulia, a Romanian actor-singer, have never confirmed their relationship but they have often been spotted together.
On the work front, Salman is currently shooting for “Dabangg 3”.

Wouldn’t attribute everything to luck: Mithila Palkar
Mumbai– Actress Mithila Palkar, who has won many fans in a short time with her roles in “Karwaan” and “Chopsticks”, has said that she is a hardworking person and the she wouldn’t attribute everything she has achieved to luck.
Apart from acting in films, Mithila has emerged as a prominent face on digital platforms. She has worked in web series such as “Girl In The City”, “Official Chukyagiri” and in two season of “Little Things”.
“I wouldn’t attribute everything to luck. I think I am very hardworking, and nothing discounts hard work for anything. You have to put in an effort in everything that you do, and you cannot just sit around expecting something to happen,” Mithila said, about achieving fame at an early age.
Asked if she was more focused on films than other mediums, she said: “As an actor, I don’t want to act only in Bollywood films. When you start working as an actor, especially in India, your goal is to be in Bollywood. I am very greedy as an actor, and I want to do everything. I am ready to work in any industry whether its Bollywood, Hollywood, the digital platforms, South Indian film or Bengali films. Wherever I get a good opportunity, I’ll be there.”
Sanjay Dutt to launch trailer of next film on B’day
Mumbai– Actor Sanjay Dutt will be celebrating his 60th birthday by gifting fans the first teaser of his upcoming film “Prasthanam”.
Sanjay will turn 60 on July 29, and he plans to celebrate the film’s first look with fans.
The teaser of the project will be screened at a multiplex in Mumbai, followed by a cake cutting ceremony with fans.
“Prasthanam” is the Hindi remake of the 2010 Telugu cult classic of the same name. The film is being remade in Hindi by filmmaker Deva Katta, who also made the original.
The film also stars Manisha Koirala, Jackie Shroff, Chunky Pandey, Ali Fazal, Amyra Dastur and Satyajeet Dubey, and is produced by Sanjay Dutt’s wife, Maanayata. The thrilling family drama is slated to release on September 20.
Akshay Kumar to star in ‘Bachchan Pandey’
Mumbai– National Award-winning actor Akshay Kumar will be starring in Farhad Samji’s upcoming directorial “Bachchan Pandey”, which is slated to release on Christamas 2020.
Akshay on Friday shared the look on Twitter, where he is seen in an enraged look and sporting a black “lungi” and a belt in his hand.
“Coming on Christmas 2020! In and as ‘Bachchan Pandey’. In Sajid Nadiadwala’s next, directed by Farhad Samji,” Akshay wrote alongside the image.
Samji shared the same image and tweeted: “Presenting my next directorial venture with
Akshay Kumar in and as ‘Bachchan Pandey’ produced by Sajid Nadiadwala releasing Christmas 2020.”
The film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
“Bachchan Pandey” marks the tenth collaboration between Nadiadwala and Akshay.
The duo earlier worked together in films like “Heyy Babyy”, “Jaan-E-Mann”, “Waqt Humara hai” and the “Housefull” franchise.
No lead actors approached for ‘Dear Comrade’ remake: KJo
Mumbai– Filmmaker Karan Johar has clarified that no lead actors have been considered or approached for the Hindi remake of Telugu film “Dear Comrade”.
Several reports doing the rounds suggested that Karan will be signing actors Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor in the Hindi remake.
The filmmaker on Thursday evening tweeted: “All the best and big success to the team of ‘Dear Comrade’ on July 26! Also a clarification! No lead actors have been considered or approached for the film as yet.”
Karan stressed that the planning for the film is still work in progress.
“The planning for this lovely film is underway,” he added.
On July 24, Karan announced he will be producing the Hindi remake of actor Vijay Deverakonda’s forthcoming Telugu film “Dear Comrade”.
I worked a lot on myself for ‘War’: Vaani Kapoor
Mumbai– Actress Vaani Kapoor, who wowed the audience with her stunning bikini body in the teaser “War”, says she worked a lot on herself to get the fitness needed for the film.
“It’s always amazing to get positive feedback from audience and it made me really happy to see the reaction. I worked a lot on myself to get the fitness needed for the film,” Vaani said in a statement.
The 30-year-old actress had to undergo gruelling sessions of pilates, yoga, weight training in the gym.
“I was very excited about this project and Sid was very clear as to how he wanted me to look for the part. The toughest was the dieting and making sure there were no cheat meals but it was all worth it,” she added.
