Architect-actress Khanak Budhiraja to fight an evil practice in ‘Ek Kori Prem Katha’

Mumbai– Actress Khanak Budhiraja, who is an architect by profession, recently unveiled the poster of her upcoming film ‘Ek Kori Prem Katha’, which also stars Akshay Oberoi and veteran actor Raj Babbar. The film revolves around the rural practice of ‘Kori’.

As part of the rural practice, the newlywed couple lays a white cloth on the bed before engaging in sexual intercourse, if the sheet gets a red stain on it due to the breaking of the hymen, it means the bride is pure and was a ‘Kori’

Khanak Budhiraja, who hails from Ambala in Haryana, is an architect by profession and plays the lead role in ‘Ek Kori Prem Katha’. Her long-held ambition to work in cinema came to realisation when she was signed by Sughand Films, the production house that produced films such as ‘Bombay’, ‘Rangeela’ and ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’.

Apart from ‘Ek Kori Prem Katha’, the actress-director also has ‘Johnny Jumper’, in the pipeline which stars Vijay Raaz, Brijendra Kala, and Zakir Hussain. The film is shceduled to release in 2023.

It took 6 months of planning to execute SRK’s scene with Salman Khan in ‘Tiger 3’

Mumbai– Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is set to enter the Tiger franchise through an adrenaline pumping action sequence that will be shot for seven days in Mumbai end April.

What’s to note is that this sequence has been planned by Aditya Chopra and ‘Tiger 3’ director Maneesh Sharma for over six months so that it can become a talking point for the nation.

“When SRK & Salman’s sequence was planned for ‘Pathaan’, the makers realised that such cross-overs of super-spies will need to go a notch higher every single time it happens because that’s the biggest USP for audiences.”

“So, the writer, Adi and Maneesh went into a huddle and took six months to write and visualise Pathaan’s entry in Tiger’s timeline! Every detail of this shoot has been planned keeping in mind that it needs to deliver full on paisa vasool entertainement that is also a spectacle for audiences,” informs a senior trade source.

Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas celebrate Holi with Preity Zinta in LA

Mumbai– Indian actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas and her American pop-star husband Nick Jonas celebrated Holi with Preity Zinta, her husband Gene Goodenough and friends in Los Angeles.

Preity took to Instagram, where she shared photos and videos of herself along with husband Gene, and friends celebrating Holi at Priyanka and Nick’s home in Los Angeles.

She shared a video featuring her, Gene, Priyanka and Nick along with some more friends drenched in colours.

She wrote in her caption, “Happy Holi everyone. What a fun day today turned out to be. Thank you Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas for being such gracious and fun hosts. Absolutely loved celebrating Holi with you guys. Thank God it was not raining and the sun was out. I’m sleeping like a baby tonight after all the dancing and yummy food.”

Priyanka too shared a wish for fans a happy Holi, and dropped a picture of herself and Nick Jonas from last year’s Holi celebration.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas got married in 2018 in Rajasthan. The two welcomed their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas via a surrogate last year in January.

Priyanka will be next seen in the Prime Video series ‘Citadel’.

Satish Kaushik’s 10-year-old daughter shares picture with him

Mumbai– Veteran actor Satish Kaushik’s 10-year-old daughter Vanshika shared a picture with him after he passed away.

Vanshika took to Instagram, where she shared an image of the father-daughter duo. In the picture, Vanshika is seen hugging the late actor as the two are seen smiling at the camera.

For the caption, she dropped a heart emoji.

Satish Kaushik was married to Shashi Kaushik. The duo got married in 1985. In 1996, the actor had lost his two-year-old son Sanu Kaushik. Then in 2012, at the age of 56, he welcomed his daughter Vanshika after 18 years of marriage via a surrogacy.

According to reports, the actor, who has given memorable characters such as ‘Calendar’ from ‘Mr. India’, ‘Pappu Pager’ in ‘Deewana Mastana’ among many others, died due to a heart attack.

He passed away late on Wednesday aged 67. Born in Haryana, Kaushik was an alumnus of the NSD and the FTII, and started his film career in the early 1980s.

Ranbir Kapoor expresses wish to work with Kriti Sanon

Mumbai– Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor is keen on working opposite actress Kriti Sanon.

During the promotions of his recent film, ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’, Ranbir Kapoor was questioned about which actor and actress he would like to work with next.

To this, the actor mentioned Kriti’s name as one actress he really wants to work with.

‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ is directed by Luv Ranjan. It stars Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in their first film together, with Anubhav Singh Bassi, Dimple Kapadia and Boney Kapoor in pivotal supporting roles.

The film was shot extensively in Delhi, Mumbai, Spain and Mauritius.

On the work front, Kriti is gearing up for two mega releases — ‘Adipurush’ opposite Prabhas and ‘Ganapath’ opposite Tiger Shroff. She also has ‘The Crew’ and an untitled film with Shahid Kapoor in the pipeline.

Sara wraps up first schedule of Homi Adajania directorial ‘Murder Mubarak’

Mumbai– Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan, who is known for her work in ‘Kedarnath’, ‘Simmba’, ‘Atrangi Re’ and others, has wrapped up the first schedule of her upcoming film ‘Murder Mubarak’.

Taking to social media, Homi Adajania, the director of the film, shared a pic with the actress on the special occasion. He wrote, “Here’s lookin at you kid. Well done on your first schedule… Now the real work starts.”

The pictures also have a schedule wrap up cake.

Replying to this, the actress wrote, “Can’t believe it’s done, only love to you.”

She also took to the story section of her Instagram to share the pictures. The plot of the film has been kept under the wraps by the makers.

Meanwhile, Sara is also busy with promotions of ‘Gaslight’, in which she stars alongside Vikrant Massey and Chitrangada Singh. After the promotions, she will resume ‘Murder Mubarak’ in Delhi again.
