Janhvi gives shoutout to ‘sunshine’ Khushi for ‘The Archies’

Mumbai– Actress Janhvi Kapoor has turned cheerleader for her sister Khushi, whom she called her sunshine, for her debut project ‘The Archies’.

Janhvi took to her Instagram stories, where she shared a picture with her sister Khushi. In the image, the ‘Roohi’ actress is seen hugging her sister, who is seen wearing her mother’s dress and jewelry for the premiere of the upcoming film.

Janhvi captioned the image: “The sunshine of my life and now sunshine in cinema. You are magical.”

‘The Archies’ is directed by Zoya Akhtar. It stars Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, Suhana Khan, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Aditi Saigal and Yuvraj Menda. The film is scheduled for release on Netflix on 7 December 2023.

The film is set in 1960s India, Archie and the gang navigate romance, friendship and the future of Riverdale as developers threaten to destroy a beloved park.

Anupam Kher’s ‘The Freelancer’ look is Kirron Kher’s favourite

Mumbai– Veteran actor Anupam Kher, who is gearing up for the second season of his streaming show ‘The Freelancer’, has spoken about his look in the series saying that his wife Kirron Kher loved his look from the series and that it’s her favourite look of the actor from this year.

The senior actor essays the role of Dr. Arif Ajmaal Khan in the series headlined by actor Mohit Raina, who plays the titular role.

Elaborating on his look in the series, Anupam said, “My look in ‘The Freelancer’ is my wife’s favourite. I did a lot of work in 2023 but my wife didn’t compliment me at all for anything this year.”

“She asked me if Neeraj Pandey’s number is the same because she messaged him for ‘The Freelancer’. I told her to call him, so 2023 was great for me as far as Kirron ji is concerned.”

‘The Freelancer’ series is based on the book ‘A Ticket to Syria’ by Shirish Thorat, which also stars Anupam Kher, Kashmira Pardeshi, Sushant Singh, John Kokken, Gauri Balaji, Navneet Malik, Manjiri Faddnis, and Sarah Jane Dias, among others.

Created by showrunner Neeraj Pandey with Bhav Dhulia as the director, ‘The Freelancer: The Conclusion’ will stream on Disney+ Hotstar from December 15.

Kriti Sanon wraps up Manali schedule for her production ‘Do Patti’

Mumbai– Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon has wrapped up the schedule of her maiden production ‘Do Patti’ in Manali, and shared some behind-the-scenes from the shooting of the movie.

The actress is now set to bring fresh narratives to audiences with her debut production, showcasing her versatility both in front of and behind the camera.

Taking to social media, Kriti shared some random videos with the director and the crew. She also gave a glimpse of her furry friend, delicious jalebi, and the snow clad mountains.

Along with the string of photos and videos, she expressed: “Manali.. You are beautiful! It’s a Schedule wrap for #DoPatti!! Cold weather, Warm hearts! After ‘Animal’, Anil Kapoor flies high with new ‘Fighter’ poster

Mumbai– As his recently released theatrical film ‘Animal’ continues to set the box-office on fire, actor Anil Kapoor has now unveiled the look of his character from his upcoming action film ‘Fighter’, in which he shares the screen with Bollywood superstars Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone.

In the film, Anil portrays the role of Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh. While sharing the look on his social media, Anil Kapoor wrote in the caption, “Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh. Call Sign: Rocky. Designation: Commanding Officer. Unit: Air Dragons. Fighter Forever”.

‘Fighter,’ continues to stir excitement as the veil is lifted on Anil Kapoor’s character known by his call sign ‘Rocky’. Anil Kapoor’s portrayal of the Commanding Officer in ‘Fighter’ holds gravitas, infusing life into a character that encapsulates integrity, strength, dedication, and commitment.

Earlier, Hrithik and Deepika had also shared the looks of their character from the highly-anticipated film.

‘Fighter’, which has been helmed by Hrithik’s ‘War’ and ‘Bang Bang!’ director Siddharth Anand, traces the journey of Hrithik as Patty becoming the best Fighter pilot of India. Sonam Kapoor: Will always champion an Indian designer on international platforms

Mumbai– Actress and style icon Sonam Kapoor revealed her reason to go local at international events which has led to India having major fashion moments globally.

She said: “For me, I remember it was my first Cannes appearance. I was working with an international brand and they were taking me to Cannes. I know Masaba since we were kids, we were in kathak class together.”

“But my sister Rhea and I discussed and we were like ‘we should wear an Indian designer on a global platform’ and we wanted to wear a designer who was young and someone who represented the modern and young India.”

Recalling the time she wore a saree, Sonam added: “I remember, I wore her (Masaba) saree and at that time, I draped the saree myself. We had one make-up artist that was being shared by all young girls representing the global brand that I was endorsing.”

“I remember going there and suddenly there was this one photographer who comes and takes a picture of me and the next thing I know is that I am on the cover of a leading fashion magazine in America!”

The actress said: “I cannot tell you how excited Masaba was! But what was very exciting for me was the fact that I was 23 years old, that an Indian designer featured on a global magazine, and I felt very proud of it as an Indian!”

“After that time, Rhea and I decided that every time there is an international platform, we will always champion an Indian designer, and we have done that.”
