Athiya reacts on wedding rumours, says ‘I hope I’m invited’

Mumbai– Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty has finally broken her silence on the rumour about her wedding with cricketer K.L. Rahul.

Athiya, the daughter of Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty, responded for the first time to rumours that the couple is marrying in the next few of months.

On Wednesday, she took to her Instagram stories and wrote: “I hope I’m invited to this wedding that’s taking place in 3 months lol.”

Athiya and Rahul made their relationship official last year. The star cricketer wished the actor on her birthday with a social media post featuring the two. However, the two have never spoken about their wedding publicly.

The actress was last seen in ‘Motichoor Chaknachoor’ alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Refreshing to see new generation date unapologetically: Pooja Bhatt

Mumbai– Actress and filmmaker Pooja Bhatt that says she is quite impressed with the new generation on how they set their own rules in dating and feel very unapologetic about it.

The actress was part of the show ‘Swipe Ride’ in which she interacted with youngsters.

Sharing her experience, Pooja said that “Dating in India has certainly evolved over the years and it is refreshing to see this generation date on their own terms, unapologetically. Having platforms like this normalises women discussing love and relationships, and stating their preferences openly.”

“I loved sharing my own experiences with this new generation and understanding better how their choices and rejection of cliched relationship stereotypes help them carve out their own dating rules!”

The show is hosted by digital content creator Kusha Kapila and it invites members of Tinder dating app and it takes the members to meet their dates.

Co-created with film director Debbie Rao along with writer – Sukanya Subramaniyan, ‘Swipe Ride’ series is available on the YouTube channel of Tinder India.

Sonali Bendre visits hospital where she was treated for cancer

Mumbai– Actress and cancer crusader Sonali Bendre, who was diagnosed with metastatic cancer in 2018, visited the hospital in New York where she had undergone treatment.

She penned down her “bittersweet” experience of re-visiting the hospital four years later.

Sonali wrote: “This chair, this view, this exact same spot… 4 years later. From sheer terror to continued hope, so much has changed yet so much remains the same. It was unreal to sit there and see patients going in and I could see that I had been through a similar journey… Saw the chemotherapy suite, the same waiting room, faces were different.”

“I felt like telling the patients that there’s HOPE, and I am there on the other side and look at me today I have come in for a visit on the other side of the spectrum… It was, as you can guess, a very bittersweet, emotional day. I stepped out, looked my son in the eye, with the sunshine on my face and thanked the universe for everything.”

Sonali is known for her work in hit movies like “Sarfarosh” and “Hum Saath Saath Hain”, to name a few.

She made her OTT debut in web-series “The Broken News”, a Hindi adaptation of the popular 2018 British series Press.

Kangana Ranaut’s look from ‘Emergency’ to be revealed on Thursday

Mumbai– Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is all set to unveil the look of her character from her upcoming film ‘Emergency’ in which she essays the role of late PM Indira Gandhi.

Kangana, who was seen as the fierce and enigmatic Agent Agni in her movie, ‘Dhaakad’ will be seen in an entirely different avatar in ‘Emergency’. She will be portraying one of the most powerful and famous politicians on screen.

She took to her Instagram handle to urge fans to lookout for the first look of the film which will be unveiled on the YouTube channel of her production company ‘Manikarnika Films.’

The actress has roped in Oscar winning makeup artist David Malinowski to achieve the right look. Malinowski won an Oscar for the Best Makeup and Hairstyling for the movie ‘The Darkest Hour’ (2017).

According to the actress, the Emergency was a watershed moment in the country’s political history and she was keen on showcasing that period on celluloid.

Sangram has no problem with Payal keeping her maiden name

Mumbai– TV actress Payal Rohatgi and wrestler Sangram Singh tied the knot on July 9 in Agra. Sangram decided to break certain societal norms and said that he believes in equality and will never ask Payal to change her surname.

“That’s her identity and her choice. Marriage does not make a woman subversive to man.”

He also shared that he took just one Rupee as a token in marriage.

“I am totally against dowry. It troubles me when boys demand money, gifts and cars from the bride’s family. In my marriage I have taken only one Rupee.”

“Parents spend so much in bringing up their children and then to ask them for dowry is totally wrong. I am not taking anything from my parents, even for wedding expenses. We are doing it all by ourselves.”

“That’s how it should be. I would request people following me to follow this example,” he said.

Payal and Sangram met while shooting for the reality show, ‘Survivor India’ in 2011 and fell in love. They got engaged in February 2014.

Janhvi Kapoor undergoes dialect training for ‘Good Luck Jerry’

Mumbai– Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor says that she trained extensively for Bihari diction for her upcoming film ‘Good Luck Jerry’.

Revolving around the life of a young girl, Jerry, the movie comically puts together her struggles as she goes above and beyond to save her ailing mother. But her path remains riddled with twists and turns in this journey bringing hilarious moments of chaos and comedy.

The film stars Janhvi as the docile yet gritty character along with a terrific ensemble including Deepak Dobriyal, Mita Vashisht, Neeraj Sood and Sushant Singh.

Janhvi helms the role of Jerry, an ordinary girl from a small town in India, it was important to grasp the dialect for this role of the town she represented.

Commenting on her diction for the film, Janhvi said: “I trained extensively for the Bihari dialect. We had a few coaches namely Ganesh Sir & Mr. Vinod. We attended a workshop and listened to all those songs, he even made me do an exercise wherein he would make me say Bihari abuses as a part of the training.”

“The whole process was a lot of fun eventually. I am so thankful about getting to know the syntax of that section of our country.”

Directed by Siddharth Sen and produced by Aanand L. Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions, Lyca Productions and Mahaveer Jain, the film will release on July 29 on Disney+ Hotstar.(IANS)
