Anupam Kher: Saiee Manjrekar has great positive energy

Mumbai– Senior actor Anupam Kher has shared insight into his experience working with Saiee M. Manjrekar in the movie ‘Kuch Khatta Ho Jaay’, shedding light on the positive and vibrant energy she brought to the set.

Anupam said: “Whether you play dumb charades with her, whether you play word building with her, she’s always smiling. She has great energy and she’s a positive person.”

The film, starring Guru Randhawa and Saiee, promises to be a heartwarming family entertainer with a touch of drama. The movie is a rom-com, and is set in Agra. The story revolves around two lovers and their crazy families.

It also stars Ila Arun and the Telugu comedy legend Brahmanandam. Produced by Mach Films and Amit Bhatia, it will hit theatres on February 16.

Kartik Aaryan hails Vidya Balan’s return to ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ franchise

Mumbai– Actress Vidya Balan, who played the original Manjulika in the 2007 blockbuster ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’, is returning to the franchise for its third instalment.

The actress will join forces with Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan for ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, Kartik extended a warm welcome to Vidya Balan, as he shared a mash-up of the song ‘Ami Je Tomar’ with visuals of the actress dancing to the song from ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ and that of Kartik from ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’.

He wrote in the caption, “And its happening, Og Manjulika is coming back to the world of BhoolBhulaiyaa. Super thrilled to welcome @balanvidya. This Diwali is going to be crackling #BhoolBhulaiyaa3.”

Vidya Balan’s iconic portrayal of Manjulika in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ had left an indelible mark on the audience, creating a lasting impact that continues to resonate. In the second instalment, Rooh Baba played by Kartik Aaryan also garnered much love and appreciation from the audience.

‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ is set to release this Diwali.

Anjali Anand to be seen in Farhan Akhtar’s next film ‘Dabba Cartel’

Mumbai– Actress Anjali Anand, who has worked in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, will be seen in Farhan Akhtar’s next ‘Dabba Cartel’ for Netflix.

Anjali has joined the cast of the web show ‘Dabba Cartel.’

The show will be produced by Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani’s, Excel Entertainment.

Veteran actress Shabana Azmi is also a part of the show, along with actor Gajraj Rao.

This will also mark Anjali’s third project with Shabana Azmi after ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ and ‘Bun Tikki’.

At this point, not much is known about the show but the shooting has been completed. Anjali and the other actors will play housewives secretly operating a high-stakes cartel.

‘Dabba Cartel’ is a women-led crime drama released on Netflix.

The story is being referred to as a fresh and sensitive concept, and is set to be another boundary breaking project to come out of a web show.

Shruti Haasan: Hope ‘Teach for Change’ expands to encompass entire nation

Hyderabad– Actress Shruti Haasan, who stole the spotlight as the showstopper for the ‘Teach for Change’ fundraiser fashion show, has commended Lakshmi Manchu for her relentless efforts behind this noble initiative, aiming for the expansion of this endeavour to encompass all of southern India, and eventually, the entire nation.

The ninth edition of the ‘Teach for Change’s annual fundraiser which was held in Hyderabad on Sunday saw participation from fashion maestros Amit GT for women’s wear, and Shashank Chelmilla for men’s wear.

This extravagant event, known for its blend of glamour and social impact saw a host of actors walking the ramp. Shruti glided down the ramp for the fashion show in a black hooded Indo western lehenga by Amit GT.

Speaking about the event, Shruti said: “Lakshmi has been actively involved in Teach for Change’s distinctive efforts within Government schools, and I’m excited to join in this year. Ensuring every child receives quality education is paramount, and Teach for Change is making strides in Telangana.”

“I hope this initiative expands to encompass all of South India and eventually the entire nation. Let’s all contribute in our own small ways to make a significant impact together,” she added.

Actress Lakshmi said: “I really want to thank Shruti for making time for the show. She looked gorgeous on the ramp and I’m sure her efforts will go a long way to impact our efforts positively. All my actor friends stood by me and I see it as a huge blessing.”

“This effort will help thousands of children to build a self sustainable future and that makes it so worthwhile,” she added.

The show saw participation from 35 actors from Tollywood and Bollywood who joined Lakshmi Manchu on the ramp in a bid to raise awareness for Teach for Change’s noble work.

Celebrities like Seerat Kapoor, Faria Abdullah, Avantika Mishra, Lekha Prajapati, Alekya Harika, Rashi Singh, Akshara Gowda, Ashok Galla, Pradeep Machiraju, Viraj Ashwin, Adith, Shiva Kandkuri and Parupalli Kashyap had joined the walk.

Rakul, Jackky to get married on Feb 21, wedding card surfaces

Mumbai– Bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh and producer-actor Jackky Bhagnani are all set to tie the knot on February 21.

A copy of the wedding card shows that the couple will be having their “pheras” on Wednesday, February 21. The painted card has the mandap surrounded by coconut trees and the sea in the backdrop.

The opening card is in blue and white which has the hashtag #ABDONOBHAGNA-NI

After dating for a few years, Rakul and Jackky have chosen Goa to be the venue for their wedding. The two had reportedly fallen in love in the same location, according to reports.

Jackky’s debut film was Kal Kissne Dekha, which came out in 2009. He then starred in films such as ‘F.A.L.T.U’, Ajab Gazabb Love, Rangrezz and Youngistaan among many others.

Rakul Singh made her acting debut with the Kannada film Gilli in 2009. She stepped into the world of Hindi cinema with Yaariyan after which she starred in films such as ‘De De Pyaar De’, ‘Runway 34’, ‘Chhatriwali’, ‘I Love You’ and ‘Doctor G’ among many others. (IANS)
