Big B pays off over 1,300 UP farmers’ loans

Mumbai– Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has cleared the loans of over one thousand farmers in Uttar Pradesh.

“Cleared the loans of farmers from Uttar Pradesh… select few were booked by me on train from Varanasi, and given OTS (‘OTS: One Time Settlement with Bank Of India’),” Amitabh tweeted late on Monday.

He also personally met some of them to give them their bank letters.

“And then the meeting with the farmers from UP and the giving of the OTS certificates to a select few from the 1398.

“Let the Laxmi of the house, the daughter give them that. Laxmi the Goddess of wealth. Shweta, the daughter, the Laxmi of the house,” he wrote.

He shared his photographs with Shweta on the blogpost.

Amitabh did the OTS and invited 70 farmers to Mumbai by blocking an entire train compartment for them to personally give away the bank letters.

Earlier in 2017, the “Piku” star helped over 350 farmers by paying off their debts and helping the families of 44 Maharashtra soldier who died in combat.

He had then handed over the amount to the farmers and the soldier’s families along with his wife Jaya.

Tiger Shroff, Krishna’s gym to open on Dec 1

Mumbai– Tiger Shroff, known for pulling off high-octane stunts in Bollywood films, is taking his love for Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) a step ahead. The actor, together with his sister Krishna, is opening a special MMA accredited gym here on December 1.

“Krishna and I are equally passionate about MMA and have got together to have training center focused on MMA,” Tiger said in a statement.

Year 2018 has been fruitful for Tiger, courtesy ‘Baaghi 2’. He began shooting ‘Student of the Year 2’ as well as for Siddharth Anand’s action film with Hrithik Roshan.

Alongside, he has kept busy with the process of setting up his gym along with Krishna. It will be located in Bandra.

Kapil Sharma ready to embark on journey of ‘love, respect’ with Ginni

Mumbai– Comedian-actor and producer Kapil Sharma is set to tie the knot with his girlfriend Ginni Chatrath on December 12 in Jalandhar. He says he is ready to embark on a journey of love and respect with her.

Kapil on Tuesday shared a Twitter post, officially announcing his wedding with a heartfelt message.

“With great joy in our hearts and blessings of our parents, it gives us immense pleasure to announce that Ginni and I will embark on a new journey of love, respect and togetherness on December 12, 2018.

“We would like to thank each and everyone, who has been a part of our wonderful sojourn and seek the best wishes and prayers of our loved ones. Lots of love Kapil and Ginni.”

The wedding will be followed by a reception on December 14.

Kapil shot to fame with the show “Comedy Nights With Kapil” and later did “The Kapil Sharma Show”.

He made his Bollywood debut with “Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon”. With his second movie “Firangi”, Kapil ventured into production. Earlier this year, he produced Punjabi movie “Son of Manjeet Singh”.

Shubhangi wants to play Mary Kom on small screen

Mumbai– TV actress Shubhangi Atre is a huge fan of ace boxer MC Mary Kom, and wants to play the athlete on the small screen.

Mary Kom has recently won her sixth world title.

Praising Mary Kom, the “Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!” fame star urged Indian television shows’ makers to create a show on the boxer’s life as it will encourage the youth.

“I really feel the need of a series based on the life of Mary Kom even on television screen. She is really an inspiration for the youth and watching her will be a way to encourage youth.

“I myself want my daughter to learn a lot from her. If I’m given a chance, I would love to play her on the TV screen,” Shubhangi said in a statement.

Mary Kom’s life was brought alive on the big screen by actress Priyanka Chopra in a film directed by Omung Kumar.

Krystle plays Sukhe’s love interest in ‘I need ya’

Mumbai– Actress Krystle D’souza features in the video of the new song “I need ya”. She plays singer Sukhe’s love interest in it.

Sony Music on Tuesday released Sukhe’s pop music video “I need ya”.

The song, which has a R&B vibe, has been written by Jaani and composed by B Praak.

“Sukhe is epitome of cool and working with Sony Music has been amazing. I loved the song. The song’s video is finally out. I am sure my fans and music lovers will enjoy watching it and listening to it,” Krystle said in a statement.

Sameksha to play negative role in ‘Tantra’

Mumbai– Actress Sameksha, who essayed the role of ‘Queen Olympias’ in ‘Porus’, will play the lead antagonist in the upcoming supernatural family drama show ‘Tantra’.

She will be seen performing black magic in ‘Tantra’.

Sameksha said in a statement: “I’m glad this role came along. I feel it’s a challenge because there is a lot attached to the word ‘witch’. My role has been designed to give a modern touch and is a strong character.

“It will add to the glam quotient.”

Talking about black magic, Sameksha said: “I moved to Rishikesh for a couple of months to study ancient yoga. I had heard stories. I’ve come to believe that there is as much negative as there is positive.”

“It is us who choose our path and our journey. However, it is important to be aware of our surroundings.”
