Krishna Raj Kapoor kept together vast family of celebrated individuals: Big B

Mumbai– Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has mourned the death of Krishna Raj Kapoor, the widow of the legendary Bollywood actor-filmmaker Raj Kapoor, and said she kept together a vast family of “celebrated individuals”.

Krishna Raj Kapoor died here on Monday at the age of 87, bringing an end to the second generation of the influential clan.

She is survived by her sons Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Rajiv Kapoor, and daughters Ritu Nanda and Rima Kapoor-Jain and; grandchildren Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni.

“Krishna Raj Kapoor, the matriarch of the family, the epitome of grace and dignity, gentle and loving to all, caring, faultless in etiquette and family protocol. She kept this vast family of celebrated individuals together as one bond,” Big B wrote on his blog late on Monday.

The 75-year-old thespian quoted a famous line by her to brides to be.

“Jab pati ke ghar bahu ban kar jaana, toh yeh soch lena ki tum kainchi lekar jaana chahti ho ya buniya ki auzaar,” (“When you go as a bride into your husbands home, you must decide whether you want to carry scissors with you or a pair of knitting needles!”)

Amitabh explained: “Scissors symbolising the cutting of relations in the new home and family; knitting needles, to knit the family together.”

Big B then said the Krishna had insisted that “when she goes she wants to have the prayers conducted by the four faiths” — Gurbani (Sikhism), Shlokas (Hinduism), Bible reading (Christianity), and words from the Quran (Islam)”.

Salman to Stallone: Hope ‘Creed II’ becomes as big as ‘Rocky’

Mumbai– Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has wished good luck to Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone for his upcoming film “Creed II” and hopes that it becomes as big as “Rocky”, Rambo” and “Expendables”.

Salman on Tuesday shared the poster of “Creed 2” on his Twitter account and captioned: “Heard that ‘Creed II’ is to release soon. Hope this franchise goes on to become as big as ‘Rocky’, ‘Rambo’ and ‘Expendables’. Keep punching Sylvester Stallone.”

“Creed II” is a sports drama film directed by Steven Caple Jr.

It is a sequel to “Creed” and the eighth installment in the “Rocky” film series, it stars Michael B. Jordan, Tessa Thompson, Dolph Lundgren, Florian Munteanu, Phylicia Rashad, Andre Ward, Wood Harris, Brigitte Nielsen and Milo Ventimiglia.

The film follows Adonis Creed training in order to defeat the son of Ivan Drago, the powerful athlete who killed his father in the ring more than 30 years prior.

Akshay wishes luck to Kapil Sharma

Mumbai– National Award-winner Akshay Kumar has wished good luck to actor Kapil Sharma, whom he calls his friend, for his maiden Punjabi production “Son Of Manjeet Singh”.

Akshay on Tuesday tweeted the trailer of the film, which stars Punjabi actor Gurpreet Ghuggi.

“Sometimes complex but if done correctly a father-son relation can be a beautiful one. Wishing my friends Kapil Sharma and Gurpreet Ghuggi all the best for ‘Son Of Manjeet Singh’,” he captioned the trailer.

Directed by Vikram Grover, the film will release on October 12.

Akshay is waiting for the release of his film “2.0” on November 29.

Neetu calls Krishna Raj Kapoor her ‘best friend’

Mumbai– Actress Neetu Kapoor, who couldn’t attend the funeral of her mother-in-law Krishna Raj Kapoor, says she will always hold a special place in her heart.
Neetu had accompanied her husband Rishi Kapoor to the US for his medical treatment so, she couldn’t be here for the funeral, which took place on Monday.

“She was such a huge influence in my life. Admired her elegance, wit, generosity and warmth. She will always stay in my heart. No one like her. Best human being, loved her. Best friend,” Neetu posted on Instagram on Tuesday while sharing a picture of herself with Krishna.

The two seemed to have had a great bond and often used to travel together for holiday trips.

In July, the actress celebrated her birthday in Paris with her family members which included Krishna, Rishi and her children Ranbir and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, son-in-law Bharat Sahni and niece Samara.

Neelu’s real life conditions for future son-in-law

Mumbai– Actress Neelu Vaghela has conditions for her future son-in-law.

Neelu essays the role of strong-willed Satya Devi in the show “Main Maayke Chali Jaungi Tum Dekhte Rahiyo”. The track of the show is taking an interesting turn with the blooming love story of Samar and Jaya. But their love story has a big hurdle in the form of Jaya’s mother Satya Devi.

In order to get Samar and Jaya married, Satya has put forward seven conditions.

While there is still time for her real life daughter to get married, Neelu has four conditions for her would be son-in-law in real life too – My daughter will be served with tea every morning by her husband, my daughter will be regularly taken out for dinner by her husband, my daughter will not be stopped from spending money on shopping and she will come home to spend time with me every Sunday, read a statement.

But more than anything else, Neelu said: “All the conditions that I have listed will cease to exist only on one condition – my future son-in-law has to solemnly swear that he will always respect my daughter and support her in her endeavours. From my end, I will ensure that my daughter is well-equipped mentally to handle her marital issues if any.

“And it goes without saying that I will be there for her till the end of the world.” (IANS)
