Akshay Oberoi: After years of hard work, ‘Fighter’ allowed me to break new ground

Mumbai– Actor Akshay Oberoi celebrates a significant milestone in his career with his portrayal of Bash, also known as Basheer Khan, in the film ‘Fighter’.

He said that after years of hard work, the role allowed him to break new ground.

The actor, who played a fighter pilot in the film, shared: “Portraying Bash in ‘Fighter’ has been a transformative experience for me both professionally and personally. After years of hard work and perseverance, this role has allowed me to break new ground and explore new dimensions in my craft.”

Akshay acknowledges the significance of ‘Fighter’ in propelling his career to new heights and is determined to sustain this momentum moving forward.

The actor stated: “The success of ‘Fighter’ has given me a renewed sense of purpose and motivation. I am committed to building on this success and continuing to challenge myself with diverse and compelling roles.”

‘Fighter’ is directed by Siddharth Anand, based on a story he wrote with Ramon Chibb.

The film also stars Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone.

Hrithik watches ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahaan’, praises ‘star’ Ananya’s acting: ‘Not an easy genre’

Mumbai– Actor Hrithik Roshan on Friday lauded the performance of Ananya Panday in the movie ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’, and has called her a ‘star’.

The coming-of-age drama, which released in December last year, is directed by Arjun Varain Singh, and stars Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya, and Adarsh Gourav as three friends who navigate their goals and relationships against the pressures of social media.

Taking to X, Hrithik wrote: “Saw Kho gaye hum kahaan a few days back. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Not an easy genre. @ananyapandayy you are a star. What a performance @SiddyChats and @gauravadarsh you guys were great. So well directed @ArjunVarain. Congrats to the entire team. It’s a must watch !”

Replying to the ‘Fighter’ star, Ananya said: “.@iHrithik sir you just made my day! Thank you so much for your lovely words and appreciation. It’s very motivating”.

The film is written by Arjun, Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Akhtar, Kagti, and Farhan Akhtar under the banners of Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby Films.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ananya has ‘Call Me Bae’, ‘Control’, and ‘The Untold Story of C Sankaran Nair’ in the pipeline.

Shahid flaunts his intense look in BTS photo from ‘Deva’: ‘Making movies is magic’

Mumbai– Actor Shahid Kapoor, who is currently shooting for the new schedule of his upcoming adrenaline-pumping action thriller, ‘Deva’ in Mumbai, on Friday shared a fresh glimpse from the set of the movie, alongwith the director Rosshan Andrrews.

Last seen in the science fiction romantic comedy ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, Shahid took to Instagram, where he enjoys 46.3 million followers, and dropped an intense click from the set, wherein he can be seen wearing a black T-shirt and blue denims.

The snap shows Rosshan explaining something to Shahid, while the latter is carefully listening to the filmmaker.

The ‘Jab We Met’ actor is flaunting his chiselled arms, and short haircut.

The post is captioned: “Do what you love and you don’t need to work another day in your life! Making movies is magic. On set DEVA.”

Shahid gave the tune of the song ‘Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough’ by Michael Jackson to his post.

Actress Pooja Hegde, who is starring alongside the ‘Kabir Singh’ fame star, commented on the post and said: “Roshan sir in swing”.

The movie also features Pavail Gulati in a pivotal role. Both Shahid and Pavail will be seen pulling off high-octane action sequences, elevating the intensity of the film.

‘Deva’ is directed by Rosshan Andrrews; Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films are the producers.

Meanwhile, in ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, Shahid shared the screen space with Kriti Sanon.

Rashami Desai to play role based on writer Nivedita Menon in ‘Jahangir National University’

Mumbai– Actress Rashami Desai will reportedly be seen in the upcoming movie ‘Jahangir National University’ (JNU), where she’s playing a character based on the life of writer and professor Nivedita Menon.

The actress said: “First of all, a huge thanks to all my fans and supporters for waiting so patiently to see me on-screen. It was a conscious decision to take a bit of a break in order to do the kind of things I wanted to do on-screen. I have truly put my blood, sweat and all my efforts to get into the skin of my character and do complete justice to it.”

“A lot of people’s faith and belief is associated with me and the project and it’s my moral responsibility to take care of all of it. As an actor, right from the research and preparation stage to doing everything that’s needed to get deep into the character, I have done everything,” she said.

Rashmi added: “Now, it’s time for the audience to see and decide how they feel about the movie and my performance. I am pretty confident that people are going to love it and the movie will create a roaring impact all over the country. Fingers crossed. Thank you so much to everyone for showing me so much love after the promo. It truly means the world to me.”

According to IMDb, the film is about a small towner Sourabh Sharma, who is now a student of JNU. There he gets restless with the various activities of left-wing students, who are anti-national and raises his voice against them. What follows is a series of events.

Vedang Raina on his unexpected Bollywood foray: ‘All too new for me’

Mumbai– Bollywood actor Vedang Raina, who made his debut with the streaming film ‘The Archies’ last year, recently shared insights into his unexpected journey into the world of Bollywood.

The actor, who initially ventured into modelling during his college days, never imagined a career in the performing art of acting and the film industry.

However, the lad is glad that he landed up on a film set.

Talking about his experience, Vedang shared, “It was all too new for me. It wasn’t my childhood dream to come into films. It was during college that I came into modelling. I used to sing and play the guitar. Eventually, I landed into auditioning. I had no expectations because I never expected to be in this position so whatever is happening is a bonus.”

He also spoke about working with the children of the Bollywood fraternity as he said, “For me, it was already a big deal that I had reached a film set. For all of us, we were debutants. I never felt I’m working with people who were carrying such an immense legacy but that I was working with friends. I felt at home.”

Meanwhile, the actor will be next seen sharing the screen with Bollywood star Alia Bhatt in the upcoming film ‘Jigra’. The film has been directed by Vasan Bala, who made the stellar neo-noir dark comedy ‘Monica, O My Darling’. (IANS)
