‘Coming Back’ is catchy, edgy: Vikas Verma

Mumbai–Actor Vikas Verma says the script of his upcoming film “Coming Back”, which also stars Arbaaz Khan, is very catchy and edgy.

Vikas, who made his Bollywood acting debut with a negative role in “Yaariyan”, said in a statement: “It (‘Coming Back’) is a thriller film and a murder mystery. I play a photographer who has a flamboyant lifestyle. The script is very catchy and edgy.

“We have shot in the world’s most beautiful locations, including Switzerland. The songs are amazing too. There’s a romantic number, a sensuous one… I’m sure the audience will love my chemistry with Aindrita Ray in the movie.”

Apart from this project, Vikas will be seen in “Mom”, starring Sridevi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Dinesh Vijan’s “Raabta”.

Vir Das garners four million followers on Twitter

Mumbai–Actor-comedian Vir Das’s Twitter account touched the four million-mark of followers on Sunday.

Vir took to the micro-blogging site to share the news. “Hey! Four million. Thanks guys,” he posted.

Vir is currently on world tour titled the Boarding Das World Tour.

The actor, who featured in “Shivaay”, is in the US and will soon move to Canada before returning to India in March.

I look up to Gurdas Maan: Vicky Kaushal

Actor Vicky Kaushal, who shot to fame with the film “Masaan”, says Punjabi singer Gurdas Maan is his idol.

“I look up to Gurdas Maan. He’s my idol. He gave me a note (Rs 500) once and since then I have saved it with me in my wallet. I have so much respect for him. In my lifetime, if I can even achieve 10 per cent of what he has achieved, I would be satisfied as an artiste,” Vicky said in a statement.

Vicky will soon be seen in the upcoming biopic on actor Sanjay Dutt.

Hansal Mehta looks back at ‘Aligarh’ journey

Mumbai–As his film “Aligarh” on Sunday clocked one year since its release, filmmaker Hansal Mehta says he is overwhelmed with all the love that the film got.

“Last year, our labour of love hit the marquee. The love continues to pour in. One year of ‘Aligarh’,” Mehta tweeted.

“Aligarh” is based on the real life incident of Srinivas Ramchandra Siras — an academician at the Aligarh Muslim University — who was suspended from his job because of his sexual orientation. The film stars Manoj Bajpayee and Rajkummar Rao.

Mehta also praised Manoj saying that “without your charm, empathy and meditative presence Dr Siras would’ve been relegated to distant memory. You made him a hero, Manoj Bajpayee”.

He then went on to appreciate Rajkummar “for trusting us and making Deepu Sebastian his own”.

AbRam gets magic in SRK’s life

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan says his younger son AbRam brings magic in his life and makes it beautiful.

The actor took to Twitter on Sunday to express his views, and share an image of AbRam.

He posted: “My dream is to meet you… my magic… my affirmation that life is beautiful.”

In the image, AbRam is showing his back and is seen wearing a long-sleeved sweatshirt and camouflage pants. The message on his shirt reads: “My Dream Is To Meet You”.

Shah Rukh is father of three — sons Aryan and AbRam and daughter Suhana.

Milap working on intense, dramatic scripts

Writer-director Milap Zaveri is working on two scripts, and hopes to strike the right chord with the projects.

“Writing two scripts right now that are so intense and dramatic… loving it! Hopefully seeti-taali bhi bajegi aur Izzat bhi milegi (Hopefully, people will whistle and clap and I will get respect as well),” he tweeted on Sunday.

On the work-front, Zaveri came out with his maiden production venture “Raakh”, a short film, in November last year.
