Working with veterans unnerving for new actors: Manjari Phadnis

Mumbai–Actress Manjari Fadnis, who is sharing screen space with acclaimed actors like Ashutosh Rana, Supriya Pathak and Prem Chopra in her upcoming “Jeena Isika Naam Hain”, says she was a little scared to work with so many veterans.

“Working with veterans is unnerving for new actors because you want to match up to their performance,” said Manjari at the music launch of the film on Wednesday.

“It has been a great opportunity to learn from veteran actors like them. I’ve seen Ashutosh sir in films like ‘Sangharsh’, ‘Dushman’, etc. But when I actually met him, he was so warm and encouraged me a lot on the set,” she said.

“Many times Ashutosh sir gave me tips on acting. I’ve worked with Supriya ma’am in ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’. She is a wonderful lady. I am extremely lucky to work with such great actors,” the “Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na” actress said.

The film not only presents different slices of life but also exhibits the colourful journey of the characters. The movie has been shot in various places in India and the US and captures the grandeur of the countries in its true form.

Speaking about her role, the 32-year-old actress said: “My role in ‘Jeena Isika Naam Hai’ starts from when she is 18 years till she turns much older. Therefore, the role has so many graphs regarding the experiences she goes through. My character is a positive character and evolves through the story. It was a challenging, but a very learning experience for me.”

Directed by Keshhav Panneriy and produced by Purnima Mead, “Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai” is a family entertainer with a perfect blend of action, romance and comedy.

The star cast includes Arbaaz Khan, Ashutosh Rana, Himansh Kohli, Manjari Fadnis, Supriya Pathak, Rati Agnihotri and Prem Chopra.

It is slated to release on March 3.

My home is wherever I go: Randeep Hooda

New Delhi–His almost nomadic life as an actor — which requires him to keep hopping from one place to another — has made Randeep Hooda accustomed to making a home out of wherever he goes, and a family out of whoever he works with.

With four big releases last year and a busy schedule in 2017, Randeep hardly gets time to visit his parents at his family house in Faridabad.

“I have lived in a hostel all my life since I was seven and sometimes I still feel like I am in a hostel. My home becomes wherever I go. Similarly, my family becomes whoever I am working with because I spend most of the time with these people,” Randeep told IANS here.

He feels his ability to adapt to different people and situations is one of his biggest credibility as an actor.

“But I feel the more I am growing older, the stronger is my need to be close to my family,” he said.

Even his family misses seeing him often, and in order to woo him to visit them frequently, his parents have recently renovated their house via furniture and interior solutions brand Godrej Interio’s campaign ‘Upload and Transform – Season 5’.

They wanted a contemporary look for the house, which Randeep feels has a lot more fresh air and looks soothing with muted colours.

Your words are as beautiful as your heart: Bipasha to Karan

Mumbai–Actress Bipasha Basu has praised her husband and actor Karan Singh Grover and has thanked him for making her feel like a princess.

Karan wrote a poem for Bipasha on Valentine’s Day on Tuesday.

While sharing an image of the poem on Instagram, Bipasha wrote: “I know I was right in believing fairy tales … they do happen. Thank you for making me feel like a princess always? Your words are as beautiful as your heart.”

Karan and Bipasha were last seen together on screen in the 2015 film “Alone”. Karan will next be seen in “3 Dev”, which is the story of a couple, where the wife is extremely religious and the husband is not.

They rent out their house to three youngsters and certain situations lead to the trio being termed as ‘God’, leading to hilarious situations of lies, mistaken identity and chaos.

The film also stars Tisca Chopra, Kay Kay Menon, Kunal Roy Kapur and TV actor Ravi Dubey, who marks his big screen debut with the film.

Currently Bipasha, who tied the knot with Karan in April 2016, has no movie in her kitty.
