ACF Marks 12 Years of Cricket Coaching and Education Growth in the U.S.

BOSTON–The American Cricket Federation this week celebrated the 12th anniversary of its cricket coaching and education program, highlighting more than a decade of efforts to expand youth cricket and coach development across the United States.
Managed by Jatin Patel, a multi-sport coach and recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award, the program has grown into one of the country’s largest cricket education initiatives focused on schools, colleges, and grassroots coaching.
The federation launched its Level 1 Scholastic Program in 2014 to introduce cricket into physical education curricula and help American educators teach the fundamentals of the sport. Organizers said the program was designed specifically from an American coaching perspective to make cricket easier to understand for students and teachers unfamiliar with the game.
The Level 2 Advanced Program followed in 2015 and focuses on training certified coaches to mentor local volunteers and youth instructors. According to ACF, more than 500 Level 2 coaches have now been certified across the United States.
The organization recently expanded its curriculum with a Level 3 “Gold” certification program incorporating sports analytics, video analysis, mindfulness training, and AI-based coaching concepts aimed at high-performance coaching development.
Over the past 12 years, ACF has conducted 92 weekend coaching clinics nationwide and worked with educators at nine universities to integrate cricket into school-based athletic programs.
The federation plans to launch 28 new virtual mini-courses for schools and colleges beginning in the fall 2026 semester.
