Houston, Texas – Anudip Foundation, a nonprofit organization connecting skills education with pathways to employment for underserved youth, brought together friends, supporters and community leaders in Houston recently, as part of its growing engagement in the United States.
For nearly two decades, Anudip has connected AI and digital skills training with sustainable livelihoods and economic mobility, helping youth, women, and persons with disabilities to find employment, while lifting entire communities from intergenerational poverty. Its work spans 100+ training centres and is present in 300 colleges across 22 Indian states, with 7.3 million lives impacted directly, a 70% placement rate and an average 240% increase in family income.
“Anudip was founded on the premise that underserved youth need to be given the opportunity for a better future,” said Dipak Basu, Founder and Chair of Anudip Foundation. “For nearly two decades, we have worked to give young people the skills and pathways to build better futures for themselves and their families. It is deeply encouraging to see the Houston community here in the United States becoming part of that journey and helping us extend the possibilities for many more.”
Kousik Kundu, a leading enterprise and growth executive, along with his team, is helping bring together local supporters through community engagement. “Houston has an extraordinary spirit of entrepreneurship, generosity and community,” said Kundu. “We’re bringing that energy together around Anudip and building a community of supporters who can make a meaningful difference.”
The gathering was made possible through the generosity of Asoke Deysarkar and Ruma Acharya, who gave sage guidance to the group and made the Tagore Cultural Center available for the evening.
Monisha Banerjee, Anudip CEO, shared Anudip’s growth plans and opportunities to participate through Giving Circles that will offer smaller groups of supporters an opportunity to come together around shared interests while directly supporting Anudip’s programs and impact.
“Whether through year-end giving or introducing our work to friends and colleagues, every connection helps us reach more young people,” said Banerjee. “We would love for Houston’s community to make this journey their own.”
