Maryland Lt. Gov. Aruna Miller to Join TiECON East 2026 in Burlington
BURLINGTON, Mass.— Maryland Lt. Gov. Aruna Miller is scheduled to attend TiECON East 2026 in Burlington on Friday, Oct. 2, bringing Maryland’s startup and innovation agenda to a gathering of entrepreneurs, investors and technology leaders from across the Northeast.
Hosted by TiE Boston and TiE New York, the conference will bring together founders, investors, executives and innovators working across artificial intelligence, deep technology and life sciences.

Miller is expected to meet with founders and innovators during the conference and discuss Maryland’s approach to supporting emerging companies. The visit also creates an opportunity for Massachusetts entrepreneurs to learn more about Maryland’s connections to federal agencies and research institutions.
Those connections can provide startups with access to potential customers, funding sources and commercialization partnerships, according to the organizers.
The exchange comes as Massachusetts continues to build its reputation as a major center for AI, life sciences and deep-tech innovation. Organizers say the conference is intended to encourage connections between the two states’ technology ecosystems and identify opportunities for collaboration.
“Maryland is built for innovation, with world-class research institutions, a highly skilled workforce, and unmatched connections to federal agencies,” Miller said.
TiE Global Chair Yash Shah said bringing entrepreneurs and policymakers together can help the two ecosystems exchange ideas about supporting growing companies.
TiE Boston President Sunita Kanchinadam said the conference will provide an opportunity for Massachusetts founders to engage directly with public-sector leaders.
Focus on growth in the AI era
TiECON East 2026 will be held under the theme “The Next Growth Playbook: Product, Market & Capital in the Age of AI.”
The conference will examine how emerging companies develop products, find customers, raise capital and scale their businesses as artificial intelligence reshapes technology and investment.
The participation of Miller adds a government and economic-development perspective to those discussions, while highlighting potential connections between Maryland and Massachusetts.
The conference will take place at the Burlington Marriott Hotel on Oct. 2. TiE Boston and TiE New York are co-hosting the event, which is expected to bring together members of the region’s startup, investment and innovation communities.
