Alia Bhatt Praises Ranbir Kapoor After ‘Love & War’ First-Look Release
Mumbai — Alia Bhatt gave a shout-out to husband and co-star Ranbir Kapoor after the makers of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Love & War” unveiled his first-look poster on Thursday.
Sharing the poster on Instagram, Bhatt wrote, “Hey Handsome.. Love & War in cinemas, January 21,2027.”
Co-star Vicky Kaushal also shared the poster, writing, “Love. War. And everything in between. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War See you on 21.01.2027.”
The poster features Kapoor with a rugged look, a blood-stained sleeve and what appears to be a bullet mark on his shirt as he sits inside a car.
The filmmakers also confirmed that “Love & War” will be released on Jan. 21, 2027. The film had initially been announced for Christmas 2025 and was later moved to March 20, 2026.
The project reunites Kapoor with Bhansali nearly two decades after Kapoor made his Bollywood debut in the director’s 2007 film “Saawariya.” Bhatt previously worked with Bhansali on the 2022 film “Gangubai Kathiawadi,” while “Love & War” marks Kaushal’s first collaboration with the filmmaker.
The film is scheduled for release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Deewaar’ Performance Wins Praise From Amitabh Bachchan
Mumbai — Actor Rajkummar Rao earned applause from Amitabh Bachchan after recreating a famous scene from the 1975 film “Deewaar” on “Kaun Banega Crorepati.”
Rao appeared on the quiz show with actress Wamiqa Gabbi and performed Vijay’s well-known temple monologue from the film as Bachchan watched from the host’s chair.
“Aaj khush toh bahut hoge tum… Jo insaan kabhi tumhari seedhiyan nahi chadha, jisne kabhi tumhare saamne sar nahi jhukaya, jisne kabhi tumhare saamne haath nahi phailaye, aaj woh tumhare saamne haath phailaye khada hai. Khush toh bahut hoge tum,” Rao said.
The dialogue translates to: “You must be very happy today… The man who never climbed your steps, who never bowed his head before you, who never held out his hand before you, is standing before you today with his hand outstretched. You must be very happy today.”
Bachchan, Gabbi and the studio audience applauded Rao after the performance.
“Deewaar” starred Bachchan as Vijay Verma, a man who rises from poverty to become a powerful figure in the criminal underworld. The film remains one of the best-known Hindi movies of the 1970s.
Rao previously recreated another scene from “Deewaar” during a 2021 appearance on “Kaun Banega Crorepati” with Kriti Sanon.
“Kaun Banega Crorepati” airs on Sony Entertainment Television.
Raghav Chadha Marks Third Wedding Anniversary With Parineeti Chopra
Mumbai — Politician Raghav Chadha marked his third wedding anniversary with actress Parineeti Chopra by sharing a personal message and video montage on social media.
“Three years and I’m still not sure if I’ve found the words to describe how much you mean to me,” Chadha wrote on Instagram.
He said Chopra had made life feel “warmer, fuller and more like home,” adding that the past year had made him even more grateful for the life they are building together.
“Happy anniversary @parineetichopra. I feel incredibly lucky that I get to do life with you,” he wrote.
Chopra’s mother, Reena Chopra, also wished the couple in the comments.
Chopra and Chadha married on Sept. 24, 2023, in Udaipur. They welcomed their son, Neer, on Oct. 19, 2025.
The couple frequently supports each other on social media. Chadha recently praised Chopra ahead of her streaming debut in “Shaque,” saying he was proud of the work she put into the project.
Yami Gautam Celebrates Maheshwari Handloom Tradition in Black Saree
Mumbai — Actress Yami Gautam highlighted India’s handloom heritage in a black Maheshwari saree woven by a seventh-generation artisan from Maheshwar.
Sharing photos on Instagram, Gautam said the saree was made from silk, cotton and zari by a member of the Salvi family, which has preserved the weaving tradition for generations.
“The beauty is in the hands that have kept this craft alive for generations,” she wrote.
Gautam also noted that Maheshwari weaving was nurtured by Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar, who brought skilled weavers to Maheshwar.
The actress paired the black saree, which featured gold detailing, with matching earrings and a high bun.
Gautam wore the same saree while receiving the National Award for Best Actress for her performance in “Article 370” at the 72nd National Film Awards on Sept. 22 in Kevadia, Gujarat.
Maheshwari weaving originated in Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh, and is known for its silk-cotton fabric and traditional craftsmanship.
Nick Jonas Shares Glimpse of Birthday Week With Priyanka Chopra and Daughter Malti
Mumbai — Nick Jonas shared highlights from his 34th birthday celebrations with wife Priyanka Chopra Jonas and their daughter, Malti Marie.
Jonas, who turned 34 on Sept. 17, posted a series of photos and videos on social media and thanked Chopra for making the week special.
“A perfect birthday week thanks to my @priyankachopra,” he wrote.
The photos included the couple spending time on a golf course, family moments, Jonas’ birthday cake and a picture of Malti Marie. Jonas also shared a photo of himself and Chopra kissing.
Chopra had earlier marked his birthday with a post of her own, writing, “Happy birthday to the man that makes all our dreams come true.. everyday. We love you Gaga.”
Jonas and Chopra began dating in 2018 and married later that year in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, in ceremonies reflecting both Hindu and Christian traditions. They welcomed Malti Marie via surrogacy in 2022.
