Talwiinder Says ‘Assay Passay’ Was Created During Rainy-Day Freestyle Session
Mumbai — Singer Talwiinder says his new song “Assay Passay” began during an unplanned freestyle session at a friend’s house on a rainy day.
The track is part of his EP “Paiinted Feeliings” and explores how people and surroundings can gradually influence a person’s behavior, thoughts and sense of identity.
“We made ‘Assay Passay’ during a freestyle session at a friend’s house on a rainy day. It wasn’t planned at all,” Talwiinder said.
“As we kept working on it, this thought about how much the people around us can change us just stayed with me. Sometimes you don’t even notice that you’re becoming a different version of yourself.”
He said the broader EP grew from emotions and experiences that can be difficult to express.
“I think we all experience emotions that are difficult to explain or put into words, and ‘Paiinted Feeliings’ came from that space for me, with each song capturing a different feeling, memory or moment,” he said.
“Assay Passay” was written, composed and performed by Talwiinder. The song was produced by Dropped Out and mixed and mastered by NDS.
Known for an ambient-pop sound centered on personal and emotional themes, Talwiinder said the song offers an introduction to the themes of “Paiinted Feeliings,” which focuses on memories, emotions and moments that often go unspoken. (Source: IANS)
