Kaushiki Chakraborty to Bring Indian Classical Music to Andover
ANDOVER, Mass. — Renowned Indian classical vocalist Kaushiki Chakraborty will take the stage Saturday, September 19, for an evening of pure Indian classical and semi-classical music at the Collins Center for the Performing Arts in Andover.
The performance is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the center, located at 100 Shawsheen Road, Andover, Massachusetts.
Known for her expressive renditions of khayal and thumri in the Patiala gayaki tradition, Chakraborty has developed a reputation for combining the depth and discipline of Indian classical music with an energetic and emotionally engaging stage presence.
Her performances are characterized by an emphasis on emotion, musical exploration and a sense of spontaneity.
