Benny Dayal Says New Single ‘Yaaro Neeyo’ Is ‘Honest, Intimate and Timeless’

MUMBAI — Singer Benny Dayal has opened up about the inspiration behind his new single “Yaaro Neeyo,” saying he wanted to create something that felt personal and enduring.
“As an artist, we tend to express emotions that are hard to express in words and ‘Yaaro Neeyo’ is one such song for me. I wanted to make something that was honest, intimate and timeless,” Dayal said.
“Something that people could own, wherever they were in their lives. It’s been such a rewarding experience writing this song and I hope people can relate to it as much as I did creating it,” he added.
Dayal also promoted the release on Instagram, writing, “Yaaro neeyo out on all platforms! go bless this audio!”
The single marks Dayal’s return to the Tamil independent music scene. “Yaaro Neeyo” was released worldwide on Tuesday and was produced by Prito Intiacandy, with lyrics by Vignesh Ramakrishnan. Ranbeer Sidhu handled mixing and mastering.
Dayal is known for playback singing across several Indian languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati and Marathi.
He began his career as a member of the band S5, launched by SS Music, and later made his acting debut in the Malayalam suspense thriller “By the People.” His work with S5 eventually brought him to the attention of composer A.R. Rahman, who invited him to audition.
Among Dayal’s best-known songs are “Badtameez Dil,” “Lat Lag Gayi,” “Daaru Desi,” “Sher Khul Gaye,” “Locha-E-Ulfat” and “Udta Punjab.” (Source: IANS)
