TiE Boston’s TYE Academy Team PulseAera Wins Two Awards at TYE Global Finals in Seattle

BOSTON- TiE Boston is proud to announce that PulseAera, the 2026 First Place team from TiE Boston’s TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) Academy, won two awards at the TYE Global Finals in Seattle, bringing national recognition to Boston’s youth entrepreneurship program and its next generation of innovators.

PulseAera earned Best Execution in its competition track and the Best Maker Faire Award among 17 U.S. teams. The team’s performance capped off an exceptional year of learning, teamwork, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial growth through TiE Boston’s TYE Academy.

PulseAera developed a smart HVAC air filter solution designed to reduce costs, improve indoor air quality, and help prevent allergy and asthma symptoms. The team’s venture combines a modular air filter system with pressure and temperature sensors to help homeowners and building managers better monitor filter performance, improve efficiency, and support healthier indoor environments.

The PulseAera team includes Chetan Pisupati, Shaurya Bedre, Arjun Singhania, Zaid Rana, Diya Nair, and Vihaan Tripathi. The team was supported throughout the program by mentor Girish Juneja, TYE instructor Katie Quigley, and TiE Boston TYE Program Director Adam Carter.

“We are incredibly proud of PulseAera and the way these students represented TiE Boston on the global stage,” said Adam Carter, Program Director of TiE Boston’s TYE Academy. “Their success is about much more than awards. It reflects months of teamwork, resilience, creativity, and growth. Being with them in Seattle and watching them present with such confidence and professionalism was a powerful reminder of why this program matters.”

The TYE Global Finals bring together winning student teams from TiE chapters around the world. Students pitch their ventures to judges, entrepreneurs, investors, and peers, gaining real-world experience in entrepreneurship, public speaking, customer discovery, and business strategy.

TiE Boston’s TYE Academy is an eight-month entrepreneurship, STEM, and career-readiness program for high school students. Created by TiE Boston in 2005, the program helps students develop entrepreneurial knowledge, financial literacy, leadership skills, and professional confidence through hands-on learning, mentorship, team-based venture creation, and pitch competitions. Over the past 20+ years, TiE Boston’s TYE program has served more than 900 students across Greater Boston and New England, with a strong commitment to expanding access for BIPOC students, low- and moderate-income families, young women, and students from communities historically underrepresented in entrepreneurship and STEM.

Through TYE, students learn design thinking, market research, customer discovery, prototyping, financial modeling, marketing, public speaking, and business planning. The program culminates in a final pitch competition, with the winning Boston team advancing to the TYE Global Finals.

PulseAera’s success continues TiE Boston’s strong record at the global level and reflects the power of giving young people access to mentorship, networks, and the opportunity to solve real-world problems.
