Sonu Nigam Shares 21-Year-Old Throwback Photo With Shilpa Shetty
Mumbai — Singer Sonu Nigam took a trip down memory lane Wednesday, sharing a 21-year-old throwback photo with Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty.
The photo shows a younger Nigam and Shetty posing for the camera with another friend. The two are seen dressed in styles from the era and smiling in the old picture.
Nigam has been sharing several throwback posts in recent weeks, revisiting moments from the early years of his career.
On Friday, he shared photos from Filmistan Studio in Goregaon and connected the post to the track “Main Duniya Teri Chhod Chala.”
“My beginning (3) | Main Duniya Teri Chhod Chala | Sept 1993 Filmistan Studio, Goregaon #throwback,” he wrote.
Last week, Nigam also shared a video clip from his 1997 music video “Sapne Ki Baat Main Bataoon,” recalling the early phase of his journey in the entertainment industry.
“My beginning (2) | Sapne Ki Baat Main Bataun | Early 1997″#flashback (sic),” he wrote.
Nigam began his professional career in the entertainment industry in the early 1990s. His first playback song in a film was “O Aasmanwale” from “Aaja Meri Jaan” in 1993.
He later gained wider popularity with songs such as “Achha Sila Diya,” “Sandese Aate Hai” and “Yeh Dil Deewana.” His 1999 album “Deewana” also played a major role in boosting his popularity.
Over more than three decades in the industry, Nigam has recorded more than 6,000 songs in over 32 languages. He was honored with the Padma Shri in 2022. (Source: IANS)
