Freida Pinto Calls Montana Getaway a ‘Real Nervous System Reset’

Mumbai — Hollywood-based Indian actress Freida Pinto shared a glimpse of her summer holiday in Montana, describing the getaway as a “real nervous system reset” filled with nature, friends and family.

The “Slumdog Millionaire” actress posted a series of photos and videos from the trip, featuring her husband, Cory Tran, and their son, Rumi-Ray. Pinto said the vacation brought her peace and allowed her to enjoy the simple pleasures of Montana’s scenic beauty.

“This is true Summer Magic in the Treasure State aka Montana with exactly what the heart and soul needs – Nature, Friends and Family. We will call this the real nervous system reset,” Pinto wrote in the caption.

Pinto, 41, rose to international fame with her film debut in the 2008 drama “Slumdog Millionaire.” She later appeared in “Miral,” “Trishna” and “Desert Dancer.”

She also starred in the science fiction film “Rise of the Planet of the Apes,” the fantasy action film “Immortals,” “You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger,” “Love Sonia,” “Hillbilly Elegy” and “Mr. Malcolm’s List.”

On television, Pinto appeared in the Showtime miniseries “Guerrilla” and had a recurring role in the series “The Path.”

Pinto became engaged to photographer Cory Tran in November 2019, and the couple married in 2020.

She will next be seen in “Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender,” an upcoming American animated fantasy film directed by Lauren Montgomery.

The film is a continuation of Nickelodeon’s “Avatar: The Last Airbender” and features the voices of Eric Nam, Dave Bautista, Jessica Matten, Román Zaragoza, Dionne Quan, Taika Waititi, Geraldine Viswanathan, Ronny Chieng, Ken Jeong, Dee Bradley Baker, Steven Yeun, Freida Pinto and Ke Huy Quan.

The story follows Team Avatar as they discover Tagah, a surviving airbender, and join him in searching for an airbending staff to help bring back the Air Nomads. (Source: IANS)
