Himesh Reshammiya Teams Up With Anshul Garg for New Track ‘Sharaab’

MUMBAI — Singer and composer Himesh Reshammiya is set to release a new track, “Sharaab,” after teaming up with music producer Anshul Garg for the peppy number.

Himesh shared the first-look poster for the song on Instagram, writing, “Jai MATADI Lets rock. One play won’t be enough…Stay Tuned for #Sharab…Teaser Out tomorrow only on @playdmfofficial YouTube channel. (sic).”

The track will feature Himesh alongside actress and former beauty queen Manushi Chhillar. The music video has been choreographed by Piyush-Shazia.

Himesh has lent his voice to the song, while Rajat Nagpal composed the music. Rana Sotal wrote the lyrics.

The teaser poster for “Sharaab” has drawn attention online and comes as Himesh continues his high-energy Cap Mania tour.

Himesh has worked as a composer on more than 125 Hindi films, delivered more than 2,000 songs, appeared as a judge on more than 30 reality shows and acted in 11 films. He is also the first Indian to feature on Bloomberg’s list of top pop stars globally.

His non-film albums have also had a major impact on Indian music. “Aap Ka Surroor” reportedly sold more than 55 million copies, making it one of the highest-selling non-film albums globally, second only to “Thriller.”

Himesh is currently working on the music for Salman Khan’s upcoming war drama “Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace.”

The film is backed by Salma Khan under Salman Khan Films and also stars Chitrangada Singh as the female lead. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, “Maatrubhumi” retells the events of June 15, 2020, when Indian soldiers clashed with Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley. (Source: IANS)
