Anupam Kher Visits Mahakaleshwar Temple, Offers Prayers in Ujjain
MUMBAI — Veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher visited the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, where he offered prayers and attended the aarti at one of the twelve revered Jyotirlingas.
Sharing photos and videos from the visit on Instagram, Kher described the experience as deeply spiritual and uplifting. “I reached the Mahakal Temple in Ujjain. Offered my prayers… and prayed for all of you as well. What an incredible, divine experience it is to be here,” he wrote.
Reflecting on the visit, he added, “India is truly filled with such remarkable religious places, whose antiquity and history are beyond belief. Today, my soul felt a different kind of peace and strength. Har Har Mahadev! Har Har Mahakal!”
In a video, Kher said he prayed for everyone’s peace, happiness, and well-being, as well as for the country. He also praised the temple’s arrangements for devotees, noting that everything was well organized.
On the work front, Kher is set to reprise his role as Kamal Kishore Khosla in the sequel to the 2006 film “Khosla Ka Ghosla!” directed by Dibakar Banerjee. The film will feature returning cast members along with new additions. He is also working on a project with director Sooraj Barjatya.
Genelia Deshmukh Calls Nauvari Saree a ‘Little Piece of My Roots’
MUMBAI — Actress Genelia Deshmukh said wearing a bespoke Nauvari saree for the trailer launch of her upcoming film “Raja Shivaji” felt deeply personal, describing it as “a little piece of my roots.”

Sharing photos in a soft pink Nauvari saree made from Ahimsa silk, she said the outfit reflected both heritage and meaning. “Wore something that felt close to me – A Nauvari saree. A little piece of my roots, something I carry with me wherever I go. The Himroo weave and Ahimsa silk fabric makes it so mindful and so so special. And this soft pink… just reminds me that strength can be gentle, and grace can be so powerful,” she wrote.
Directed by Riteish Deshmukh, the historical action drama “Raja Shivaji” follows the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his fight to establish swaraj. Riteish stars in the title role, with Genelia portraying his wife, Saibai.
The film is scheduled for a worldwide multilingual release on May 1, 2026, and features large-scale sets designed to capture the grandeur of 16th-century Maharashtra.
Preity Zinta Celebrates Punjab Kings’ Record-Breaking Start in IPL
MUMBAI — Actress Preity Zinta praised her IPL team, Punjab Kings, after they became the first side in tournament history to remain unbeaten through their first six matches.

Zinta shared her excitement on X following the team’s win over Lucknow Super Giants, which extended their strong run in IPL 2026. She posted a video from the stadium, where she was seen interacting with fans, actor Arjun Rampal, and celebrating with players after the team posted a season-high total of 254/7.
“Last night ended up being everything I hoped for & more. After 24 hours of travel I wasn’t sure if I could sit through a 3 hour game but the amazing company, the rocking stadium vibe & stunning game & victory erased all the jet lag n exhaustion,” she wrote.
She added that the team’s performance deserved special recognition. “I have to do a separate appreciation post for the way saddi team performed last night. It was a happy scene on the ground & I went from sleepy to smiley as we made a new IPL record.”
Zinta also thanked the squad for their performance and the joy it brought fans.
On the work front, she is set to return to films with “Lahore 1947,” directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and starring Sunny Deol, with Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, and Abhimanyu Singh in key roles. The film, produced by Aamir Khan, is set against the backdrop of India’s partition.

MUMBAI — The trailer for the upcoming family comedy “Daadi Ki Shaadi,” starring Neetu Kapoor and Kapil Sharma, has been released, offering a glimpse of a chaotic and humorous wedding tale.

The film follows Kapil’s character as his family pushes him toward marriage with Sadia Khateeb’s seemingly perfect match. However, plans take an unexpected turn when Sadia’s grandmother, played by Neetu Kapoor, decides to get married herself, putting the younger couple’s future in jeopardy.
Kapil attempts to stop the wedding using his signature comedic tactics, even enlisting goons to intimidate the groom, played by R. Sarathkumar, who proves to be far more formidable than expected. Adding to the confusion, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni—making her big-screen debut—plays Neetu’s daughter and becomes another obstacle.
The trailer hints at further twists, including a mystery surrounding the groom’s true identity.
Directed by Ashish R. Mohan and produced by Rtake Studios, BeingU Studios, and Shimla Talkies, the film also features a recently released song, “Senti,” showcasing the ensemble cast.

MUMBAI — Actress Yami Gautam turned nostalgic as her debut film “Vicky Donor” completed 14 years, sharing her reaction on social media.

Reposting a video montage originally shared by co-star Ayushmann Khurrana, Gautam reflected on the milestone. The clip featured memorable scenes, dialogues, and songs from the 2012 film.
“What !! 14 years already,” she wrote, expressing surprise at how quickly time has passed.
Directed by Shoojit Sircar, “Vicky Donor” starred Ayushmann Khurrana, Yami Gautam, and Anu Kapoor, and explored the subject of sperm donation with humor and sensitivity. The film was both a critical and commercial success and marked Gautam’s entry into Bollywood.
