Palash Sen Calls Anupam Kher a “National Treasure” After Chance Mid-Air Meeting

MUMBAI — Singer-actor Palash Sen shared a chance mid-air encounter with veteran actor Anupam Kher, describing him as a “national treasure” and a lasting source of inspiration.

Sen took to Instagram to post a photo of the two seated together on a flight, revealing that he ran into Kher “30,000 feet in the air” and decided to ask for a picture despite having met him several times before.

“30,000 feet in the air and in the best company I could have asked for! Shared a flight with the legendary @anupampkher today. I have met him so many times but this time the fan in me finally requested him for a pic,” Sen wrote in the caption.

Reflecting on the interaction, Sen said the meeting felt particularly meaningful, praising Kher not only as an actor but also as a mentor and individual.

“I am a true admirer and I call him Sir. He is a teacher in so many ways — as an actor, a director & a human being. Truly an inspiration to see his energy and humility always. He has always been this simple man… extremely intelligent, unbelievably warm,” he said.

Sen also highlighted Kher’s directorial work, Tanvi The Great, urging audiences to watch the film and describing it as a must-see.

“Watched his directorial debut recently and my admiration knows no bounds. All of you who haven’t watched Tanvi the Great, please do so ASAP and do yourself a favor,” he wrote. “Thank you Anupam sir for all the entertainment all these years. Always take care. You are a national treasure and we all love you.”

The post quickly drew attention from fans, celebrating the unexpected meeting between the two artists and Sen’s heartfelt tribute to the veteran actor. (Source: IANS)
