Shraddha Das’s Supernatural Thriller ‘Trikaala’ Eyes April 24 Release

Chennai — The upcoming Telugu supernatural thriller Trikaala, starring Shraddha Das and Mahendran, is now expected to hit theatres on April 24, according to industry sources.
Directed by Mani Thellagutie, the film—titled Trikanda in Tamil—had initially been planned for a January release. However, the makers appear to have shifted the date to better align with audience timing and market conditions.
The project has generated significant buzz following the release of its gripping trailer, which teases a dark, high-stakes battle between good and evil. The visuals depict a world gripped by fear as sinister forces rise, accompanied by a voiceover warning of an impending catastrophe that threatens humanity.
At the heart of the story is an intense psychological and supernatural conflict. Shraddha Das plays a psychiatrist dealing with complex cases, including a patient she believes suffers from bipolar disorder—only to discover deeper, more ominous forces at play. Meanwhile, Mahendran’s character is introduced through action-packed sequences, hinting at a central role in confronting the spreading darkness.
The film is expected to blend elements of spiritual belief, psychological drama, and supernatural suspense, positioning it as a genre hybrid rather than a conventional horror thriller.
The cast also includes Ajay, Sahithi Avancha, Nandha Durairaj, and Amani, along with a supporting ensemble featuring Robo Shankar, ETV Prabhakar, and others.
Produced by Radhika Srinivas and presented by Rithvik Vetsha, the film was shot over approximately 60 to 70 days across Chennai and Hyderabad.
On the technical front, Trikaala features cinematography by Pavan Chenna and music composed by Harshavardhan Rameshwar and Shajith Humayun. The film’s action sequences have been choreographed by a team including Anji, Nandu, Venkat Diamond, and Shanker.
With its mix of psychological intrigue and supernatural elements, Trikaala is shaping up to be one of the more intriguing releases in the genre this year, as audiences await confirmation of its theatrical debut.
