What happens when emotive raga-influenced saxophone and masterful, mellifluous violin meet sure-fingered tabla wizardry, and an inventive, hard-driving rhythm section? Exciting interplay, haunting melodies, and lilting grooves! World-jazz veterans Natraj put it all together for an exciting evening of Indian- and African-influenced music.
From Ghana to Mumbai, and Boston to Toronto, Natraj has delighted listeners since 1987. Acclaimed as Boston’s Best Jazz Band by the Improper Bostonian, Natraj seamlessly melds the classical music of India and traditional music of West Africa with contemporary jazz, creating its own infectious style.
