BURLINGTON, MA— The nonprofit organization Women Who Win will host a free emergency preparedness workshop on Sunday, August 10, from 2:00 to 4:30 PM at the Academy of Creative Arts in Burlington, Massachusetts.
The event, titled “Before the Ambulance Arrives – There’s You!”, will provide information on how to respond to medical emergencies before professional help arrives. The session is open to the public and requires advance registration due to limited seating.
Speakers will present on several topics, including basic life support, injuries, bites, and symptoms such as chest pain. The program will include:

Alexandra Bakovic, ATC, EdM, who will speak on sports-related injuries

Samantha Pannier, Clinical Exercise Physiologist at Beth Israel Lahey Health, who will teach basic life support

Dr. Shikha Merchia, President of the Indian Medical Association of New England (IMANE), who will address how to respond to chest pain, cuts, and bites
