LEXINGTON, MA—Hema Gopalan’s passion for learning never left her. Once when she wanted to experiment with food business, she joined the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts to formalize and optimize her self-taught cooking techniques and to immerse herself in Boston food eco-system.
A few years later, Gopalan went to a law school to get a law degree, and applied it to her expertise and experience in her accounting profession.
Now, she is getting ready to realize her childhood dream of Arangetram, her debut on-stage performance of Indian classical dance of Bharatanatyam on Sunday,
Nov. 12, 2023 at Littleton High School Auditorium in Littleton, MA.
Her debut dance performance has been a dream many years in the making. My performance will be guided by Massachusetts dance teacher Jayashree Rajamani.
In an exclusive video interview with INDIA New England News, Gopalan says it is important to follow your passion—irrespective of you age. To watch the full interview, please here or on the link below.
Gopalan was born and raised in Mumbai. She left for the US to earn a Master’s Degree in accountancy from Bentley College and has since built a successful career in corporate finance, holding executive positions at high growth and large companies.
