United India Association to Hold its Annual Diwali Celebrations on Sunday in Norwood

NORWOOD, MA—United India Association of New England, a non-profit community organization, will hold its annual Diwali celebrations on Sunday, Oct. 22, at Norwood High School in Norwood, MA.

Packed with variety of entertaining cultural performances by children and adults from the community, diwali puja,fashion show, children’s fashion parade and attractive raffle prizes, the program will be held from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Neela Gandhi, president of United Indian Association, said in a statement.

Other attractions at UIA Diwali include candy bags for children, appetizer and dinner at nominal charge, kulfi, a variety of vendor shopping including mehndi, jewelry, clothes, snacks, bone marrow drive and much more.

UIA Diwali will be held on Oct. 22 at Norwood High Schoolm located at 245 Nichols Street at  Norwood, MA.

The entrée for UIA members and participants is free. Non-mmembers pay a nominal fee of $5, and children under 12 are free. The membership fee for the organization is: single: $10; family: $20; and life membership: $100.
