Transforming Healthcare, AI and Life Sciences Panels at TiECON East to Explore How Technology and Innovation are Changing the Landscape of Healthcare

BOSTON— TiE Boston announced that TiECON East Conference’s Healthcare and Life Sciences track will host three panels that will focus on how technology and innovation are changing the landscape of healthcare, among other timely health-related topics. The panels will present the views of 15 experts in this field.

The three panels are:

AI, Big Data & Digitally Distributed Care: Panelists include Dr. Mehul Mehta, Principal and CMO, Albright Stonebridge Group; Shahidul Mannan, Chief Data Officer, Bon Secours Mercy Health, and Umbereen S. Nehal, former Chief Medical Officer and MIT Sloan Fellow. This panel will be moderated by Rohit Mahajan, Managing Partner at BigRio.

The panel discussion will highlight how we are witnessing a new era of patient care that is more personalized, efficient, and accessible. Additionally, digitally distributed care is allowing patients to access care from remote locations, reducing the need for physical visits to clinics and hospitals. As a result, the healthcare industry is poised for significant growth, with new opportunities and business models emerging across the entire healthcare value chain.

Transforming Healthcare Entrepreneurship: Panelists include Parth Desai, Principal, Healthcare Venture Capital, Flare capital Partners; Michael Graffeo, CEO & Co-founder, FluidForm; Patrick Jordan, Director, Virtual Access, Boston Children’s Hospital; Varun Ramdevan, Digital Health & Technology Partnerships, Johnson & Johnson; and Dhrumil Shah, CMIO, Compass Medical; Moderator: Nicki MacManus, Advisor & Healthcare Innovator.

The session aims to highlight the opportunities and challenges that arise from the digitization and automation of healthcare, and how entrepreneurs can take advantage of these developments to create innovative and efficient healthcare solutions.

Accelerating Discovery & Clinical Research to Bedside: Panelist are: Alex Burgin, Director of the Center for the Development of Therapeutics at Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard; David Jenkins, Vice President, Head of External Innovation at Ipsen; Steve Swann, Chief Scientific Officer at TandemAI; and Ajit Nagral, Chairman and CEO, Scitara Corporation. This panel will be moderated by Eric Sigel, CEO, Citadel Discovery.

Finally, the healthcare and lifesciences track will also focus on accelerating discovery and clinical research from the lab to the bedside. This talk will explore how the use of automation and digitization is transforming the way we approach research, drug discovery, and clinical trials, making them more efficient and effective than ever before.

The Healthcare and Life Sciences track is part of the two-day TiECON East conference, which will be held on April 27-28, 2023 at the Westin Hotel in Waltham, MA. This is New England’s largest entrepreneurial conference, bringing together business leaders, entrepreneurs, industry experts, corporate executives, academics and students alike.
