Boston’s flagship entrepreneurship conference shifts the conversation from hype and valuations to the mindset, discipline, and vision needed to build in a world of radical change
BOSTON — TiE Boston has unveiled the key sessions for TiECON East 2025, its flagship annual conference and the largest gathering of entrepreneurs in the region.
Scheduled for September 26, 2025, at the Sheraton Boston Hotel, and co-hosted this year by TiE New York, the one-day event is expected to draw over 500 attendees—from startup founders and venture capitalists to artists, technologists, and corporate leaders.
What sets this year’s conference apart is its theme: “The Heart of Entrepreneurship.” The entrepreneurial landscape is being reshaped at an unprecedented pace. In a time when entrepreneurship risks becoming transactional and reactive, TiECON East deliberately shifts from the usual focus on funding, scaling, and performance metrics. It is re-centering the conversation on the deeper discipline of creating: the mindset, values, and leadership commitments that fuel enduring impact. It takes a bold step back to ask: What truly drives entrepreneurs?

“This year, we wanted to shift the spotlight to the essence of entrepreneurship,” said Atul Dhir, conference co-chair. “It’s not just about exits and valuations; entrepreneurs need the ability to navigate both the outer journey of building a business and the inner journey of staying committed to their vision through uncertainty and change” Reimagining the Entrepreneurial Journey
TiECON East 2025 kicks off with a Featured Talk: “The Heart of Entrepreneurship,” where a seasoned founder will reflect on the internal compass behind their journey—exploring the motivations, values, and personal challenges that have defined their path from idea to impact.
This talk sets the tone for the day’s main sessions, which together offer a multidimensional portrait of entrepreneurship
Entrepreneurial Journeys
In this session, multiple founders will share their company-building stories, weaving together the external realities of business growth with the internal moments of self-doubt, resilience, and reinvention. It’s not just about strategy; it’s about mindset and creativity.
Artists as Entrepreneurs
This session showcases the creative discipline at the heart of entrepreneurship, drawing from leaders in film, theater, architecture, design—and the culinary arts. The program showcases the universal skills and mindset that unite all entrepreneurial disciplines: vision, risk-taking, adaptation, and the ability to mobilize others around a shared goal.
Shapers of What’s Next: Entrepreneurship in a Time of Radical Change
This forward-looking panel features trailblazers from AI, life sciences, and emerging tech, sharing how foundational shifts in science and technology are opening new doors—and demanding new thinking. Entrepreneurs will leave not only informed but better equipped to respond to change creatively rather than reactively.
Closing with Purpose
The conference closes with a second featured talk, “The Broader Arc of Entrepreneurship,” A closing reflection on how building ventures can also build industries, communities, and lasting legacies. It’s a fitting end to a day focused not only on what entrepreneurs build—but on who they become in the process.

With its dynamic mix of industry leaders, creative professionals, and bold new thinkers, TiECON East 2025 is positioning itself as more than a conference—it’s a movement to reclaim entrepreneurship as a human endeavor grounded in purpose and possibility.
“We’ve designed TiECON East to equip attendees for what’s coming next—not just with ideas, but with actionable insights and a network of others on a similar journey,” said Satish Bhat, conference co-chair.
