BOSTON—Three Massachusetts technology companies founded by South Asians are the top IPO candidates to watch in 2017, Boston Business Journal reported.
The Boston Business Journal report is based on insights from investment research firm CB Insights, which lists more than 300 companies on its IPO Pipeline for 2017. California has the highest number of top IPO candidates with 207 companies, followed by New York with 54 and Massachusetts with 21.
The three Massachusetts companies founded by South Asians are: Actifio, founded by Ash Ashutosh; BitSight Technologies, co-founded by Nagarjuna Venna; and Affirmed Networks, founded by Hassan Ahmed.
Waltham-based Actifio provides managed IT services and applies practical answers to its customers’ storage, data management and data protection challenges. It also helps companies move their data to the cloud. Actifio has raised $207 million in venture funding so far.
Acton-based Affirmed Networks helps mobile data operators simplify their network deployment. Venture funding up to date is $163 million. Hassan Ahmed serves as CEO of the company.
Cambridge-based BitSight Technologies, which rates companies on their cybersecurity capabilities and vulnerabilities, has raised $90 million in venture funding so far. The company was co-founded by Nagarjuna Venna.
