LOS ANGELES–Superwoman Lilly Singh, the YouTube star with movie cameos, her own lipstick, and a recent gig with The Rock, says making her childhood dreams come true is coolest part of her job.

In an interview with Vanity Fair magazine, Singh said she’s out to collect as many different experiences as possible—but that doesn’t mean the transition from doing everything herself to working within the often rigid structures of traditional media has always gone seamlessly.

“The first time I ever went on a movie set, I remember I just walked on set and started acting,” Singh told Vanity Fair reporter Laura Bradley. “They were like, ‘We’ve got to call action!’” That was on the set of Doctor Cabbie, a 2014 Canadian film starring, among others, Kunal Nayyar from The Big Bang Theory. Since then, she’s added more film credits to her resume, including cameos in this year’s Bad Moms and Ice Age: Collision Course, according to Vanity Fair.

Six years after she got her start on YouTube, Singh has become an Internet sensation. Her channel has over nine million subscribers, who gobble up her every post, Vanity Fair said.

Singh, who relocated from Toronto to Los Angeles in December, started her YouTube career in 2010, according to Vanity Fair.

The coolest part of her job? Singh says it’s making her childhood dreams come true, and working with celebrities she admires. Several A-listers have appeared on her YouTube channel, including Seth Rogen and James Franco, Selena Gomez, and The Rock, Vanity Fair reported.
