BMW of Sudbury and its General Manager Pranav Gill have joined INDIA New England Woman of the Year Awards gala as a platinum sponsor. BMW of Sudbury, which is managed by Mr. Gill, has consistently earned a distinction by demonstrating superior performance, with a combination of sales leadership and customer satisfaction that placed the dealership at the very top among BMW dealers.

Dr. Manju Sheth & INE MultiMedia
Dr. Manju Sheth, president of INE Multimedia, has been a big advocate for empowerment of women. Dr. Sheth is a Board-Certified Internist with keen interest in women’s health. She works at Lahey Health.
She was voted in the 150 ‘Women of Influence’ by YW of Boston in 2016. Dr. Sheth served as president of Indian Medical Association of New England in 2013. She has been a big advocate for empowerment of women and has been voted Woman of the year in 2011. Dr. Sheth is the creator and host of the popular “Chai with Manju” celebrity interview series.
Subu Kota and The Boston Group
Mr. Subu Kota is CEO and Chairman of The Boston Group. He brings more than 40 years of entrepreneurial wisdom with broad experience ranging from Information Technology Consulting, e-Learning Services and Pharmaceuticals Research and Manufacturing.
Mr. Kota is a serial entrepreneur and has been involved in start-ups in various sectors. Mr. Kota is charter membership of TiE, Boston and served as an adviser to the dean of Kennedy School of Government, at Harvard University.
Samir Desai and the Desai Foundation
The Desai Foundation was born in 1997 as a family foundation started by Samir A. Desai and Nilima Desai. The Foundation had one simple goal: to serve the communities that had served them. Samir, a technology entrepreneur, focused the organization’s efforts in Metro-Boston, MA, Morningside Heights & Harlem, NY and south Gujarat, India. The support went to organizations focused on health, education and Indian culture.
After ten years of successful partnerships, the Desai Foundation found itself getting more and more involved in its partner organizations. It was helping to develop programs, expand regions, and launch successful pilot programs. In order to keep up with the pace of its growing organization, the Desai Foundation became a public foundation, and refocused its mission. The Desai Foundation is now a robust public and programmatic organization working to empower women and children through health and livelihood in India and the U.S. The Foundation believes that empowering local community members to run projects leads to the best results. And that restoring dignity is at the center of helping people to dream beyond their circumstances.
Vinod & Shikha Kapoor and Masala Art
Masala Art is an Indian restaurant and caterer serving the Greater Boston area. As a pioneering Indian restaurant in Boston, Masala Art is proud to share our country’s diverse culture, art forms, religions and regional specialties with our restaurant guests. Our dishes include family recipes as well as those inspired by India’s extensive culinary landscape.
Vinod and Shikha Kapoor are the owners of Masala Art in Needham, MA. They started off as owners of a small basement restaurant in Back Bay called Kebab-N-Kurry in 1980. After winning the Best of Boston in the early 80′s they decided to expand their business. They opened another Kebab-N-Kurry in Providence, R.I. After several years of success in the business of Indian Cuisine, they opened Bombay Club in 1991. This was a change from the traditional Indian restaurant. They decided that the Indian Restaurant Industry needed a more upscale dining facility. They proved that when they opened the 126 seat, well decorated, and operated Bombay Club. Since 1991, the Kapoors have gone on to open Bombay Club in Faneuil Hall (a fast food concept) 1998, Curry Leaf in Natick (2003) and most recently Masala Art (2003).
Yash and Jigna Shah
Yash and Jigna Shah are big supporters of the Woman of the Year gala. Mr. Shah is Chief Technology Officer at ServOne. He brings a successful track record of entrepreneurship to SevOne, having founded several tech companies, including InteQ, a cloud-based, SaaS IT Service Management company.
Mr. Shah sold InteQ to CA Technologies and most recently served as SVP of Product Design and Management at CA Technologies. He is a board member of TiE Boston, a nonprofit association dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship in the Boston area, and serves on the advisory boards for several startups.
Artumanity
Founded by Boston entrepreneur Santhana Krishnan, Artumanity promotes art using mobile auction application that brings together artists, art lovers and charities to create a better world.
Artumanity initiatives include Artumanity Auctions App to conduct mobile art auctions, Asian Art Gallery to promote emerging artists from South East Asia and soon to be launched A Limited Edition, an exclusive curated online art marketplace to support and promote artists.
