MUMBAI– Popular singer Aishwarya Majmudar is giving wedding traditions a playful and empowering spin with her latest release, “Nazaara – The Shaadi.”
Written and sung by Aishwarya herself, the track’s music is co-composed by Harpreet ‘Nikku’ and Aishwarya. The song flips the conventional wedding script, featuring the bride making a surprise visit to the groom’s home with full flair a day before the wedding ceremony.
Speaking about the track, Aishwarya said, “Weddings are one of the most beautiful celebrations of life. With ‘Nazaara – The Shaadi,’ I wanted to keep the fun and festivity alive, but also challenge the idea that brides have to wait in the background. This bride rides in, makes noise, and celebrates love on her terms — and I think that’s something a lot of women will relate to.”
She shared that today’s brides were the inspiration behind the track’s concept. “Brides today have really flipped the script. It’s not just about being the ‘cool bride’—it’s about women stepping into their power. In the past, girls were expected to be quiet, reserved, and go along with whatever happened. But that’s changed drastically. Women are taking charge of their lives, and naturally, of every aspect of those lives. Brides are embracing that shift, and it’s been incredibly inspiring to watch.”
Aishwarya called “Nazaara – The Shaadi” a modern anthem for the bride’s entrance. “These days, the groom is all decked out, looking sharp in his sehra. And there’s this tradition where the bride and groom aren’t supposed to see each other before the wedding. So we decided to put a playful spin on that.”
With its upbeat energy and fresh perspective, Aishwarya believes the track will resonate with brides who want to celebrate their big day on their own terms. (Source: IANS)
