Sindu Meier is a Senior Associate at William Rawn Associates, one of Boston’s largest architectural firms.

Joining William Rawn Associates in 2012, Ms. Meier has managed several of the firm’s high-profile projects, including the Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Center, the firm’s first healthcare project.

Ms. Meier was also integral to the design of Harvard Business School’s Tata Hall, a LEED Platinum building. Most recently, she has managed the historic Johnson Building Transformation of the Central Library at Boston Public Library, winner of the 2017 Harleston Parker Medal.

She is currently working on the King Open/Cambridge Street Upper Schools and Community Complex, the first net-zero emissions project for the firm.

Ms. Meier holds a B. Arch. degree from Carnegie Mellon University.

INDIA New England News: Please tell our readers about your work and what you enjoy most about it.

Sindu Meier:  I am an architect and have focused my career on large institutional buildings. I like working on projects which impact their communities, ie. libraries, schools, laboratories, courthouses.

INE: To which charitable, community and professional groups do you belong and why?

SM: I volunteer at our church’s CCD program and participate on the Women In Design Committee for the Boston Society of Architects.

INE: What are your hobbies and interests?

SM: My interests are rooted in raising my three children – Sachin, Rohan and Divya.

INE: In what way do you feel you have positively influenced or served the local community, your company/organization or professional field?

SM: I am a Library Trustee for the Milton Public Library and serve my community in this capacity.

INE: What are your favorite books?

SM: I participate in our neighborhood book club and often we find new favorites.

INE: Who inspires you the most?

SM: My parents.
