Shreya Ghoshal Releases Live Album, First by Indian Female Artist in Three Decades

MUMBAI — Playback singer Shreya Ghoshal has released a new live album, marking the first such release by an Indian female artist in nearly three decades.
Titled “The All Hearts Tour – Live,” the album features recordings from her recent global tour, capturing performances across sold-out venues and arenas worldwide.
“The All Hearts Tour – Live’ album is incredibly special to me. For the first time, I’m releasing concert recordings so my audience can relive the same emotion and energy. This is my gift to everyone who’s been part of my journey over the years- my listeners, my fans, those who attended the tour, and even those who couldn’t. I wanted to give them something in return, because as the name suggests, my fans truly are All Heart,” Ghoshal said.
The 44-city tour spanned India, North America, the United Kingdom, the Middle East, Australia, and Europe. Ghoshal performed at major venues including OVO Arena Wembley in London, Oakland Arena in California, and Wolf Trap in Washington, D.C.
She also became the second Indian artist after Lata Mangeshkar to perform at the Fox Theatre in Detroit, and the first Indian artist to perform at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
Ghoshal, a five-time National Award winner, began her musical journey with classical training at age four before gaining recognition after winning the television singing competition “Sa Re Ga Ma.” She went on to build a prolific playback singing career across multiple languages and film industries.
Her international recognition has grown significantly, particularly in the United States. Several cities have proclaimed special days in her honor, including June 26 in Ohio, July 24 in Cincinnati, and June 15, 2024, in Austin during her recent tour.
In 2013, she was also honored at the U.K. Parliament’s House of Commons for her contributions to music. (Source: IANS)
